To create a complete interior of a room, you cannot do without curtains.

Weightless tulle and organza, heavy curtain fabric - they can decorate any home, but they themselves need some accessories. Curtains can be gathered, secured with flounces, or simply added with small decorations. Previously, pins and hair clips were used for similar purposes, but they spoiled the fabric, as they left small holes.

Magnets not only perform the function of securing curtains, but also serve as an excellent interior decoration.

Today there is an excellent alternative - magnetic clips that come in a variety of shapes and colors. But not everyone knows how to attach magnets to curtains so that they look most advantageous. In stores you can select decorative items from the rich assortment presented there or order an exclusive model based on an individual sketch.

You will need:

    magnets; curtains; tapes; rod; magnetic tiebacks.

In addition to external beauty and a wide choice, magnets have other advantages compared to other curtain accessories. The most significant thing is that they do not require additional fastenings.

Other hooks look impressive, but they require special hooks to be driven into the wall to secure them to. Magnets attach to each other directly through the fabric, leaving no marks on it. There is another plus: the product can be fixed anywhere: in the middle, on the side, at the desired height from the floor.

The advantages of magnets are that they can be fixed at different heights of curtains, put on a string, and fabric can be pulled through them.

To install the magnet, it is recommended to hold it in one hand and use your fingers to move the halves together. If you simply disengage them, you will need to apply some force. After this, install the magnet in the desired position on the curtain.

How to use magnetic clips?

The easiest option is to secure the fold to the curtain. You will need a pickup magnet, the parts of which are connected by a cord or tape. Such folds look casual and allow you to open the window slightly during daylight hours.

If you use similar magnets for furniture covers and bedspreads, then everything together will look like a single ensemble. The magnet is attached like this: gather the curtain into folds with your hand, wrap them around the magnet and magnetize them. The height of the drapery depends only on your desire: closer to the ceiling or floor.

In a similar way, only in two steps, double drapery is performed - it looks original.

Another option is to secure lightweight curtains with magnets.

This is done as follows: ribbons are thrown over the bar, with magnets attached to the ends. The magnets snap into place, pinching the fabric. In the same way, you can thread a decorative cord, ribbon, or hang a lambrequin.

You can also use this product to gather short tulle - it will look impressive, and the lack of fabric will be hidden.

A non-standard approach is to mount magnets at different heights.

The result is asymmetrical folds and flounces, which give the entire window an unusual look.

You can easily and beautifully attach curtains with a magnet, giving your window decoration a new and completely unusual look. When choosing accessories for curtains, show the same attention as when choosing jewelry for a new dress.

Even a plain canvas can be effectively shaded with a contrasting magnet decoration. In some cases, it makes sense to focus on small details - special tiebacks in the form of flowers, butterflies, stones. Specialists in curtain making salons will help you choose the necessary accessories for curtains.

What is the accent in the interior of an apartment or house?

These are furniture, all kinds of accessories (sofa cushions serve as an ideal bright spot - a highlight) or curtains on the windows. Curtain clips have recently begun to play more of a decorative role rather than a functional one. Having replaced the banal bows and garters made from braid, magnetic clips managed to brighten up boring interiors.

Production today is progressing quite quickly, and we are able to purchase a magnetic clip of any shape and any color. If you find it difficult to choose what exactly will suit your interior, look at the photos of magnets for curtains. This way you will immediately determine the most suitable options for the apartment.

Magnets for curtains: do it yourself

The design option you choose, color, fabric texture and other elements have a huge impact on the design and external perception of textile window decoration.
Perhaps the most important place in this is occupied by additional accessories, which include lambrequins, tassels, bows and the like. Recently, various magnets for curtains have become especially popular. Most often, they are used as tiebacks for curtains and are everywhere replacing the bows and braid garters that are so boring to everyone. Structurally, this accessory consists of two decoratively designed magnets, fastened together by a strip of fabric. When assembled, the magnets form a ring that holds the curtain fabric in a bundle.

Magnetic curtain holders can be made in any design, so every housewife can choose exactly the type that best suits the design of the curtains in your apartment. As a rule, the outside of magnets is decorated with fabric flowers, jewelry, brooches, soft toys, clips, and so on. The price of products also varies and depends on the materials used.

If none of the commercially available tiebacks suits you, there is always the opportunity to make magnets for curtains with your own hands. A short guide to help with this is given below, and the photos and videos in this article will help you get an idea of the options available.

Using magnets makes it easy to decorate a window

What types of holders are there?

What types of curtain clips are there? Today it won’t be difficult to find exactly the holder that will suit your parameters (both according to taste and financial needs). There are fabric magnets, holders made of wood, stone or plastic.

Clips can be made in the form of a variety of children's toys, can be made in a marine theme, forest (in the form of acorns), can look like jewelry or be designed in a strict geometric style. Here everything will depend solely on the imagination and style in which the interior of your room is made.

Any curtain holder will serve not only as an accessory, but can also hold a mosquito curtain. The clip will be a convenient insect lock.

Forms and types of magnetic pickups

Using the curtain fittings in question allows you to transform the design of a window opening in a second. The pick-up will help to focus attention on one or another element or, in general, completely change the visual perception of the window.

Lately, instead of boring laces, pins, hairpins or tassels, curtain tiebacks or curtain clips with magnets have been used. They allow you to give the curtains exactly the shape that was intended during design (which is impossible when using braid), and also do not damage the surface of the curtain (like hairpins and pins).

That is why magnets for curtains enjoy well-deserved popularity and are increasingly used by most interior design specialists. Moreover, the variety of shapes, shades and sizes allows you to choose the accessory you need for any interior.

Magnets are a universal element for decoration. Not only curtain tiebacks with magnets are common, but also devices that allow you to replace fasteners on curtain rods. For example, if you fasten two decorative magnets with braid or cord, the resulting device can be used to create waves on a lambrequin.

In addition to classic tiebacks, magnetic curtain clips are also used. They are also called clips. They serve to hold light curtains on a string cornice. In this case, folded clips are attached to the upper edge of the fabric, and a string is threaded through the loops of cables. The advantage of this design is that when moving the curtains there is no rubbing of the fabric. The disadvantage is that it can only be used with light curtains, since too many magnets will be needed to hold a heavy curtain.

As for the purely decorative function, the scope for the designers’ imagination is unlimited. Often, a ribbon made of organza or other textile is used for connection. In principle, you can sew a magnet into almost any object. The main thing is that it matches the style of the chosen interior design option.

In some cases, magnets can be supplemented with natural materials: dried flowers, leaves, pieces of wood.

Magnetic curtain ties can also perform other functions. For example, recently accessories have been produced that, in addition to holding curtains, act as a fragrance, filling the room with a pleasant, refined aroma.

Useful tips

Fabric with magnetic clips must perfectly match the color and texture not only of the curtains, but also of the surrounding interior as a whole. In this way, the situation will be the most harmonious. Additional decorative elements (paper and woven parts - butterflies, bows, flowers) are best glued to the clips with double-sided tape. This mounting option will be quite strong and reliable.

Using correctly selected magnets, you can often change the design of the curtains, moving the devices from one place to another.

To ensure that magnetic products last as long as possible, they should be hung away from batteries and heating devices. In addition, it is better to protect them from various types of mechanical damage, especially if they are made of plastic or fabric.

If none of the models sold in the market are to your liking, and you don’t want to make them yourself, you can order a personal model. Most likely, such a detail will cost more, but with it you will be able to create a truly unique and exclusive curtain design.

When making similar holders yourself, it is permissible to cover the magnets with virtually any fabric. It is important to only take into account the style and range of the interior.

Hello, friends!

Has this ever happened to you: you wear what seems like the most ordinary dress, but you look like a queen?! Take a closer look at yourself: the dress is ordinary, but the shoes, handbag and decorations perfectly match the outfit! What does this mean?

About the fact that almost everything depends on accessories! This rule applies to everything: the choice of clothing, interior design, and even the selection of curtains - this rule also applies strictly.

So, what curtain devices can become the main highlight of the whole look? In fact, curtain devices are not completely unique at the moment; you can find them in any special curtain salon

And when you pay attention, you will be amazed at how diverse they are! The most popular devices are curtain magnets

The most popular devices are curtain magnets.

These little things can change the entire look of curtains beyond recognition. They are so varied in shape, color and what they are made of - that I can say with firm confidence that you can choose the right magnets for curtains for any fabric.

How do magnets for curtains compare favorably with other accessories?

Let's look at an example. Let's say if we associate magnets with ordinary grabs. Curtain tiebacks are also extremely varied and beautiful, but they have one aspect - they definitely need to be attached to something. As a rule, this is a special hook screwed into the wall. The magnet wraps around the edge of the curtain and magnetizes to itself through the fabric. This is extremely convenient since you do not need to drill anything additional. Let's compare magnets with curtain pins.

With a hairpin you can only assemble the entire curtain completely and only in the center, but with a magnet you can collect any edge of the curtain, even from the side, even from the top, even from the bottom.

Curtain magnets

So, when we figured out that magnets for curtains are good devices that are worth using, let’s figure out how to perfectly drape curtains with them.

Example 1. The most common and common method of draping.

We collect several folds on the side of the curtain with our hands, wrap them around them with a magnet and magnetize the device on the curtain. In order for the drapery to look more attractive, we pull out the outer folds more to form a beautiful overlap of the curtain.

Such drapery can be done either closer to the floor or closer to the ceiling - it all depends on the model in mind.

Example 2. Double drapery.

We do exactly the same as in the example once, only 2 times - this wonderful double overlap appears.

Double drapery

Example 3. Drapery from below.

Such drapery is most often used when it is necessary to provide access to a window - the tulle is picked up from below with a magnet. But for beauty, the curtain can be picked up from below with a magnet.

Example 4: Extremely unconventional.

The curtain can be hung using magnets on a cornice - a pipe.

Original and definitely not like everyone else!

Features of purchasing magnetic pickups

Faced with the problem of choosing the accessories you need from the huge number presented in stores, many people get lost and cannot find the magnetic pickup they need.

In this case, it is advisable to contact an interior designer who has the necessary experience and knowledge for this. If this isn't an option for you, here are some tips to help you make an informed and smart purchase.

When decorating a bedroom, you should give preference to neutral pastel colors, as well as smooth natural shapes. The sizes of accessories should be selected based on the area of the room. Large magnets are suitable for spacious bedrooms. In small rooms, small models will look organic, helping to visually expand the space.

Using magnets for curtains in the bedroom

A room for receiving guests should not only be cozy and comfortable. Its design requires an original detail that attracts attention and emphasizes the design. This is where the use of large, bright magnets is justified. Their design and materials depend on the chosen design style: in a high-tech living room, chrome-plated metal magnets are appropriate, while classicism is characterized by golden or silver tones and textiles.

In the kitchen and children's room, everything depends on the chosen design style. Take care of the correct combination with furniture, wall, floor and ceiling decoration, as well as other accessories.

Magnets in the nursery

How to choose the right one

An incorrectly selected product will not be able to fix and hold the curtain. Especially if it is made of dense, voluminous or heavy fabric. Therefore, first of all, you need to pay attention to the size of the holder. The larger and more massive the canvas, the larger the clamp should be. In addition, it should match the interior of the room in color and style.

Self-production

The design of the curtain magnet can be anything. But it doesn’t always completely suit you in design, color, material or other parameters. In this case, you can make curtain tiebacks with your own hands using magnets. The resulting accessory will become a source of pride that is not found anywhere else in the world.

The manufacturing process is very simple. You need to stock up on the following items:

  • two magnets;
  • material that will serve as a connecting strip (textiles, cables, chains, etc.);
  • glue;
  • decorations with which the magnet will be decorated.

If you need fabric tape to hold it up, make sure it is thick and holds its shape well. Sometimes it is recommended to additionally make a dense base from plastic, bandeau or cardboard, which is covered with a cover made of fabric that is in harmony with the material of the curtains.

As decorative elements, you can use textile flowers, small plush toys (usually sold as keychains), plastic jewelry, and so on. But other options are also possible. It all depends on your imagination, ability and desire to work with your own hands.

Unusual clips and pins for curtains

There are no limits to the implementation of any idea; now the trend is the most non-standard and original curtain clips. The only condition is to maintain consistency with the style, and the rest depends on the flight of fancy.

Similar products are used in the living room, bedroom, kitchen, nursery, loggia, and glazed balcony.

  • Door knob. It can be attached to the wall, thus creating an unusual stationary holder.

An unusual door handle will compete with other types.
Creating unique compositions is simple and fun. Don’t be afraid to experiment; this is a great opportunity to show your creativity and bring a little warmth and comfort into the interior.

With the right selection of clips, tiebacks and decorative pins for curtains, drapes and curtains, you will not only update the interior of your home, but also realize your creative abilities.

Additional uses for magnets

In addition to the methods described above, there is another area of using magnets in interior design. We are talking about magnetic curtains on the door. They are transparent or colored mesh fabric equipped with magnets, which is attached to the doorway using double-sided tape or any other device.

The principle of its operation is as follows.

  1. The inner edges of the curtains have magnets. Here, magnetic tape or clamps consisting of a pair of oppositely charged elements can be used.
  2. When passing through the door, the edges of the curtains open and then close tightly, which is facilitated by magnets placed on the edge.
  3. A special fabric (mesh) allows fresh air and odors from the street to pass through, while preventing insects and debris. That’s why magnetic door curtains are often used in country houses and dachas.

In other words, the described design is an improved version of the mosquito net for the door.

The main advantages of magnet garden curtains:

  • simple and easy installation process - it takes just a few minutes, and the design features make it easy to install and remove the curtain as needed;
  • there is no need to open and close the structure (as would be the case with a standard door), its constant presence in the closed state provides excellent protection from insects;
  • allows for unimpeded access to the premises for a dog, cat or other pet;
  • does not interfere with the access of fresh air to the room - this quality is especially valuable in the evening, as it allows you to enjoy the evening coolness and protects the house from insects flying into the light;
  • the cost of the design makes it accessible to anyone;
  • When folded, it takes up minimal space, making it easy to transport and store.

The best examples of using magnetic holders and clips in the interior

For each room you need to choose the right version of clamps. They must be combined with the design of the room.

Magnetic curtain holders make it easy to pin the fabric so that it creates a fold.

  1. Metal clips look great in the living room, or use additional jewelry and stones. This gives sophistication and elegance.
  2. In the kitchen, the housewife has to move a lot, so the clamps should not be bulky and uncomfortable. A lightweight plastic device is suitable here; it should have a simple design and be sure to fit into the appearance of the room.
  3. In the bathroom, moisture-resistant clips must be used to hold the curtain in place. Marine themes, such as shells, fit perfectly.
  4. Such clamps should not be used in a children's room. After all, a child can swallow a magnet or get caught on it.

The assembled curtains will open the window sill and the room will become brighter.

Important! When using this type of clamp, you need to protect your child from scratches as much as possible. You can choose a product in the form of a soft toy. It looks good in a children's room.

For more complex drapery, designers recommend using several magnets.

An excellent design solution is the use of magnetic holders. Thanks to their appearance, the most ordinary curtains acquire a certain uniqueness and zest.

Types of curtain tiebacks

When decorating windows with curtains, you can avoid grabbing the fabric and leave it flowing. There is another, more creative option - to use hand-sewn curtain tiebacks. The peculiarity of this accessory is that it can be changed at least every week, creating new combinations with the same curtains. Fastening for the curtain composition is carried out using hooks that are mounted near the window.

Fabric

The easiest option is to sew tiebacks with your own hands using the same fabric from which the curtains are made. In this option, lining materials are used, because they hold their shape better. Sometimes a metal frame is sewn between the layers. The ideal shape is considered to be a crescent. Contrasting tones add originality to plain curtains. They are often decorated with sequins, flowers or in the form of bows, which is suitable for children's rooms.

Magnetic

The next most popular are devices equipped with holders in the form of magnets. They match lighter curtains. Magnets can be open or sewn into the fabric itself. In any case, they are placed at the ends of the garters. The holders themselves can be anything: decorative cables, ribbons, braid or twisted cords. An important detail is the decoration of the magnets. They are disguised with rhinestones, beads, brooches and other elements.

Hard

Like soft pickups, hard ones have several varieties:

  1. Metal staples that simply hook the curtain up. Do-it-yourself forged clamps are especially valued.
  2. Any solid product of suitable shape, covered with fabric.
  3. Fasteners or clips for curtains. These can be magnets, buckles that are attached to tapes or Velcro.

Cords with tassels

When framing thicker curtains made from fabrics such as velvet, satin, brocade or jacquard, hangers in the form of twisted cords with knots and tassels are used. An alternative to them are regular beads. They allow you to make deep vertical folds from heavy material. Such hangers are necessary to emphasize the richness and at the same time dilute the monotony of rich curtain fabrics.

Hairpins in the form of rings

One of the original ideas for curtain tiebacks is hairpins. Their main part looks like a ring. The second one resembles a large hairpin. The peculiarity of such clamps is in the material. They are made of wood, metal or plastic. The “clip” can be classic and not stand out against the general background of the curtains, or, on the contrary, attract attention with the help of an additional accessory.

Clamps for other rooms

Depending on the purpose of the room, the following options can be distinguished:

  1. Clips for children's room. Cute naive tiebacks are created for curtains in a child’s room. You can buy them in stores or make them yourself. Curtain clips made from toys look funny. You can make an unusual clamp yourself using any standard clamp. Together with the child, he is decorated with toy figures and fabric cutouts. In craft stores they take beautiful butterflies and sew them onto tiebacks.
  2. Tiebacks for the bedroom. For light, neat curtains, clips with magnets are used. You can buy the base in a store or make it yourself from wide tape. It is folded in half lengthwise and the edges are sewn. Magnets are glued inside, a curtain is wrapped with a clamp and the edges are fastened. You can decorate magnets with halves of beads. You can also glue a magnet to the wall to secure the clamp in one position.
  3. Tiebacks for the living room. To decorate the living room, use all your imagination, because different styles are suitable for this room. This increases the choice of curtain tiebacks. Clips are made independently from laces, fabric, leather belts and even metal. They are decorated with beads, crafts made of fabric, and plastic. Fabric tiebacks are made in one color or with an ornament. Choose from both simple and complex hairpin designs. The main thing is that the clips are in harmony with the interior of the room.

On a note! On New Year's holidays, you can attach Christmas tree balls, tinsel, figurines of Santa Claus, Snowmen, and any other light holiday paraphernalia to the clips.

How to sew curtain tiebacks with your own hands

On the Internet you can find many master classes on making do-it-yourself tiebacks. Each option involves the use of one or another material and technique. Before choosing a specific one, you need to decide at what height the suspension will be located. You also need to take into account the material of the curtains. For a lightweight look, thin ribbons, hairpins, large beads or decorative cords are suitable. It is better to decorate thick curtains with bows, large buttons or artificial flowers. Below are several instructions on how to make a classic or more original pickup.

Classic fabric curtain holders

The classic type is easy to sew. To make it you will need:

  • textile;
  • interlining;
  • ruler;
  • decorative rings;
  • scissors;
  • chalk or soap;
  • iron.

Curtain ties for the kitchen

The kitchen often lacks coziness. To make the room more comfortable, curtains and barrettes help. These clips are made by hand from textile fabric. Cut a rectangle 20 cm long and 15 cm wide. This cut will be used for the loop. Then visually mark the middle of the fabric and fold it in two parts inward. Then fold the piece so that the edges are on the inside. The product is stitched along the edge. There are enough loops to make enough for hooks. Afterwards, half a meter of textile 40-50 cm wide is cut off. It is folded and stitched in the same way.

The edges are folded inward, and a loop folded in half is inserted into one end. The second loop is also inserted into the other edge. Then the ends of the product are stitched and decorated. For decoration, use buttons, flowers, and beads. Secure the grab onto a hook screwed into the wall.

Do-it-yourself magnetic curtain ties using the kanzashi technique

Author: Galina hand-made

Good afternoon, my friends!

My topic today is curtain tiebacks in the kanzashi style (kanzashi). I've already made curtain tiebacks in this style, but they were made from CD/DVD discs. And today I’ll tell you how I made curtain tiebacks with magnets.

My mother came to visit me. She lives not in Russia, but in Kazakhstan. That's why we don't see each other often. So I wanted to do something to her, something like that))). I decided to make magnetic curtain ties and decorate them with flowers made in the kanzashi style.

Handmade and factory models

The selection of ready-made accessories for curtain ties is impressive in variety. This can be a simple metal hook for wall mounting or a forged holder for heavy curtains. Models with knitting needles, attached directly to the fabric, are also very popular. They are usually made of wood or plastic. It is advisable to use such models for airy lightweight fabrics.

You can provide all possible support to the curtains yourself. Functional decoration in this version can be of completely different designs. Making holders yourself is not just about saving money, but also a manifestation of individual taste. Skilled housewives are quite capable of knitting curtain holders or weaving them from beads. Any handmade technique will add individuality to the textile set.

The tacks look very beautiful and homely, the technique of which is called the unusual word “kanzashi”. They play a key role in window decoration. They do not need to be mounted on the wall or on plastic windows.

Curtain tiebacks with magnets

For this work, I needed:

  • Satin ribbon, wide. 5 cm – white, lilac, pink;
  • Satin ribbon, wide. 2.5 cm – white, lilac, pink;
  • Organza ribbon wide. 4 cm – green;
  • White satin fabric (not a very large piece).
  • Felt;
  • Hot melt adhesive;
  • Magnets – 4 pcs;
  • Thin plastic for the base;
  • Beads;
  • Thin wire;
  • Cord – 3 m.

Before making the curtain ties directly, I prepared flowers from sharp petals - kanzashi, somewhat similar to lilies. For each scoop: 3 large, double flowers and 14 small, single flowers.

What it is?

The holder consists of two magnets and a jumper connecting them. The elements can be connected by a strip of fabric, cord, wire, organza ribbon, fishing line, etc. The length of the jumper can also be any. When fastened, the product forms a ring that holds the curtain.

The price of the product largely depends on the design and materials used. In modern stores you can buy magnets for curtains in the form of ladybugs, stars, flowers, geometric shapes and much more. On the outside, the magnet can be decorated with shells, rhinestones, lace, stones and even plush toys. There are also laconic clips without any decorative design. They are distinguished by their versatility, as they can be combined with any fabric.

These products are very easy to use. To secure the holder, hold it in your hands and separate the two magnets by simply sliding them together with your fingers. Then assemble the curtain in the right place, grab it with a jumper and fasten the two parts of the magnet together. As a result, one magnet (decoratively designed) should be on the front side of the curtain, and the other should be on the back side. Some housewives, to create complex draperies, use not one, but several tiebacks on each side.

Large, double kanzashi flower, made of 5 cm ribbon.

First, I prepared the sharp petals. Each flower needed 10 petals, since I decided to make double flowers themselves. The lower petals on all flowers will be white, and the upper petals will be pink and lilac. I’ll show you how to fold the petals in pink.

  1. From ribbon wide. 5 cm cut out a square.
  2. Fold the square diagonally with the wrong side inward.
  3. I folded the resulting triangle again.
  4. Then I folded it a third time and trimmed the edge (in the photo it is marked with a blue dotted line). I trimmed it in order to even out the cut of all layers. I pinched it with tweezers.

5. Bring the cut side to the candle so that the ribbon melts slightly. Advice: it is better to melt in the area of the wick (there is less smoke here). If it touched the flame, it was only lightly. She passed the petal several times along the fire so that the entire edge melted.

6. When the cut edge was slightly melted, I pressed it with tweezers for a few seconds so that the tape would stick together.

7. The result is a petal, as in photo No. 7.

8. Then I turned out the petal, as in photo No. 8.

I prepared these petals: white - 30 pcs, pink - 20 pcs, lilac - 10 pcs.

Now you can collect the flowers.

9. Glued together white and pink petals. To do this, I applied hot glue to the white petal along the fold. And immediately, on top, I put a pink petal (so, I collected 20 pieces of white-pink and 10 pieces of white-lilac petals).

10. When the double petals were collected, I began to collect flowers. I applied hot glue to the edge of the white petal and pressed the next petal against it, edgewise. I tried to apply the glue slightly short of reaching the middle and the end of the petal. By the way, you can vary how open the flower is. If the strip of contact between the petals is small, the flower is more open and vice versa.

11. Collected 5 double petals. I pulled apart the last petals that were not glued together, applied glue and pressed them.

12. Using this principle, I collected all the double petals. In the end I got 6 pieces. large, double flowers, 3 pieces, for each scoop.

Also, I made small flowers.

Small kanzashi flowers, made from shir ribbon. 2.5 cm.

I made small flowers from shir ribbon. 2.5 cm single. In fact, I only had white ribbon of this width. But there were no pink and lilac flowers, such a shade. Therefore, I simply cut the ribbons wide. 5 cm. From one 5 cm square it turns out - 4 squares of 2.5 cm. I cut it with a soldering iron using a ruler. I have already written about this several times; you can watch it, for example, in the master class: Wedding champagne. I made white and pink flowers only because there was very little pink ribbon left. There were 28 pieces in total, 14 for each curtain tieback.

Flowers made from wide ribbon. 2.5 cm

Now, I needed to make the stamens. Here I decided to experiment. I have long wanted to make stamens from wire, for two reasons:

  1. So that you can bend the stamens at your discretion.
  2. And most importantly, I wanted to give the work volume. When flowers are glued directly to any base, everything turns out in one plane and lacks natural volume.
