Ortex windows, presented on our construction market in several models, are manufactured in Russia. Profiles for their assembly are produced at a plant in Omsk. This is done by , which successfully sells its products not only in the Russian Federation, but also in Kazakhstan. Currently, there are more than 30 official dealers in these countries. ORTEX representative offices are open in 23 different cities. All profile systems are developed with the assistance of German technologists, thanks to which the products meet European quality standards. The plant for the production of PVC profiles has been operating steadily since 2007, which proves the demand for the products in the Russian construction market. The lines were equipped by the German company LRS Gmbh, which installed equipment from Germany and Austria. In mid-2009, all profile systems were certified according to GOST-R, and from that moment we began to expand the range and increase production.
Ortex profiles
Thanks to the use of a proprietary new formulation, the frost-resistant Ortex profile can last up to 60 years. The Omsk company produces PVC systems for different climatic zones of the Russian Federation and offers customers products not only with different thermal characteristics, but also with different designs. The range of profiles is designed for a wide consumer audience. Ortex systems are suitable for the manufacture of 3-; 5-; and 6-chamber window and door units with a mounting depth of 58 or 70 mm. Depending on energy efficiency, these structures can be used in central, southern and northern regions.
Thanks to the presence of several additional elements from Optima profiles, structures are assembled for installation in openings with complex shapes. In addition, if necessary, using auxiliary profiles, you can increase the size of the frames. For the manufacture of door and window blocks of complex shapes, the manufacturer offers:
- PVC pipe and adapter;
- H-connector static;
- expanders height 30; 60 and 120 mm;
- 90° corner profile.
This set of additional profiles will allow you to assemble glazing for balconies, winter gardens, entrance lobbies and window or door blocks for strip openings. Their use guarantees the tightness of the assembled structures, as well as the aesthetically attractive appearance of the joints.

Ortex Classic
For the manufacture of budget windows with a high level of tightness, the Classic 3-chamber system with a basic installation depth of 58 mm is perfect. Profiles in this series are compatible with reinforced fittings, which allows them to be assembled into burglary-resistant structures. In Classic systems, reinforcing liners are located in the middle air chambers, thereby eliminating the risk of freezing of sashes and frames. To fix double-glazed windows in light openings, the manufacturer has developed stepless glazing beads that form a single plane with the profile and do not allow dirt to accumulate on the inside of the windows.
These systems have good heat-saving characteristics, taking into account the fact that they have only 3 internal chambers. Windows assembled from them can be used for glazing heated premises not only in the south, but also in the central regions. In the second case, to increase the energy efficiency of structures, it is recommended to use selective double-glazed windows. However, most often ORTEX Classic profiles are chosen for glazing entrance areas, country houses, balconies or loggias, verandas in private cottages, workshops, workshops and change houses.
PVC window profile ORTEX Classic

- Installation depth 58 mm.
- Heat transfer resistance coefficient 0.71 m2*C/W;
- Possibility of installing double-glazed windows of 4 mm, 24 mm, 32 mm.
- Fitting groove 13 mm.
- Possibility of installing closed reinforcement.
Peculiarities:
- Classic camera arrangement . When the reinforcing profile is located in the middle chamber, it eliminates possible freezing of the profile.
- Optimal size of the reinforcement chamber . Allows you to install a reliable metal profile, which increases the rigidity of the product and eliminates profile curvature throughout the year.
- Bead design . Provides stepless pairing with window profiles (dirt does not accumulate at the joint).
- Anti-burglary fittings . Removing the fitting groove by 13 mm allows the use of anti-burglary fittings, which increases the safety of ORTEX Classic window structures.
Ortex Optima
A universal system that is preferred for glazing commercial and residential real estate in the central, western and southern regions of the Russian Federation. Optima profiles have 5 chambers, which allows them to perfectly retain heat and absorb street noise. Windows assembled from them with an installation depth of 70 mm and closed reinforcement are dust-proof structures suitable for use in regions with high wind loads. By increasing the system depth of frames to 70 mm, the risk of freezing of plastic frames around the perimeter of the installation seam is significantly reduced.
Proper distribution of air chambers also contributes to increased energy efficiency. They are located in such a way that they do not allow the cold to reach the reinforcing liner and reduce the temperature of the plastic on the inside of the windows. This design solution allows reducing heat loss by approximately 3-5%. For this purpose, 3 air chambers were placed on the street side. Cold air, as it moves inside the profiles, has time to warm up to the desired temperature and does not reduce the temperature of the inner surface of the sashes and frames.
PVC window profile ORTEX Optima
The ORTEX Optima profile system has 5 cameras. Profile system developed taking into account the requirements of the Russian climate. Value for money is epitomized here. The original plastic formulation provides: increased frost resistance, high degree of whiteness, weld strength, resistance to mechanical and physical and chemical damage.
High rates of sound insulation and thermal insulation, improved dust resistance are ensured by design solutions, such as a double-circuit seal, a five-chamber profile design, and a bead with a co-extruded seal.
Characteristics:
- 5 internal air chambers.
- Installation depth 70 mm.
- Heat transfer resistance coefficient 0.86 m2*C/W.
- Possibility of installing double-glazed windows 24 - 40 mm.
- Fitting groove 13 mm.
- Possibility of installing closed reinforcement.
Peculiarities:
- Increased width of the glass rebate . Allows the use of various double-glazed windows, including frost-resistant ones, up to 42 mm thick. The rebate under the glass unit is inclined to remove moisture.
- Special grooves on the internal planes of the profile . Designed for convenient fastening of fittings and reinforcement.
- Bead with co-extruded seal . Unlike stretched material, it does not shrink in size or crack over time. The design of the glazing bead ensures stepless interfacing with window profiles (dirt does not accumulate at the joint).
- Location of cameras . The location of the cameras inside the profile is optimal.
Three preliminary chambers separate the reinforcing profile from the outer front wall, which prevents cold air from entering the room.
Ortex Optima Design
This series differs from the basic system only in the profile design. Optima Design windows are lined with a colored coating and a relief surface on the outside. This is the most affordable and effective way to decorate the facade of a house. The colored coating does not peel off, crack or swell during use of profile structures. Excellent adhesion to the base of PVC windows is ensured by the technology of applying a decorative layer.
The outer side of the plastic profile is painted with a special acrylic coating. It is applied using the co-extrusion method, when the PVC mixture and a thin decorative film harden at the same time. In fact, both of these materials form a single whole, so the color film remains on the windows for their entire service life.
Reviews about PVC profile Ortex (Ortex)
Natalie . Plastic Ortex was installed at the dacha. The most important thing that guided me when choosing windows was reliability and durability. The Ortex brand differs from others in that engineers have thought through the most difficult situations in their operation. This is noise and dust in the city, hundreds of openings and closings, maintaining the internal microclimate of the house. I had Ortex PVC windows for half a year and survived severe cold. Using them I saved a little on electricity. No effort is required to turn the handles. The plastic is strong and easy to clean with soapy water. The price is average, they are not cheap, but at the same time not expensive.
Galina Nikolaevna . Now there are so many different metal-plastic windows that it’s dizzying. We compared and chose for a long time. Then we decided and ordered an Ortex Optima metal-plastic window for the kitchen. We took a five-chamber one so that it would definitely not freeze in our frosts of below 40. Silence immediately reigned in the kitchen, even though this window looks out onto our noisy courtyard. Winter showed that the purchase of a 5-chamber profile is completely justified. In other rooms there was frost on the windows due to the temperature difference, but in the kitchen the window was dry and warm, there was no draft at all. So we decided to install them in other rooms with this window profile. Already placed an order for them.
Ortex Premium
The Premium system, developed in 2009, is designed for the assembly of premium-category heat-saving windows. These structures are used in the glazing of energy-efficient new generation houses and buildings in the northern regions. Premium windows have 6 air chambers and an installation depth of 70 mm. The history of the ORTEX profile begins in 2005 with the emergence of an idea: to produce PVC profiles of European quality in Omsk. Construction work began in December 2005: it was decided to locate production in the industrial zone of the city, on the territory of the former Airdrom Dorstroy PTP. There was a lot of work ahead to implement the plans. To achieve the required product quality, it was necessary to equip production in accordance with European standards, which was the focus of 2006. By September, the premises of the former mechanization base were ready for the installation of new European equipment. First of all, an automatic mixing station from Henschel was installed, designed to prepare high-quality raw materials used in the production of profiles. The installation and launch of the mixing plant took place under the control of the German company LRS Gmbh, whose specialists were directly involved in its design. In mid-October, extrusion lines from the Austrian company Trinity arrived at the plant, the launch of which was carried out under the supervision of German and Austrian engineers. By the end of 2006, all equipment was successfully put into operation. New products entering the market must undergo testing to confirm their quality. This is exactly what the ORTEX system had to do. At the end of March 2007, industrial production began. At the same time, active work began on testing products in testing laboratories and in window production. As a result, by July 2007, the products received all the main quality and safety certificates.
Now that production had been established, all that remained was to improve the quality of the products and try to best satisfy the needs of the consumer. At the end of 2008, work began on developing a new formula for the production of frost-resistant PVC profiles and increasing the service life of the ORTEX profile to 60 years. With the assistance of German technologists, taking into account the experience gained over the past period of ORTEX profile extrusion, a new recipe was developed. The work to improve the ORTEX profile has been successful. In May 2009, testing of new products according to the GOST-R certification system was completed. The result was confirmation of frost resistance and an increase in the conditional service life to 60 years. At the end of October, work on the construction of a new warehouse for raw materials was completed. As a result, the warehouse area for raw materials has almost doubled. In November 2009, together with German engineers, we began developing a new PVC system. The first meters of the new 6-chamber profile were released in February 2010. After testing and obtaining the necessary certification, this profile system was assigned the highest category and class A (in accordance with GOST). The innovative 6-chamber system of PVC profiles with an installation width of 70 mm was called ORTEX SL670, and was put into production in April 2010, the first windows appeared in June, under the new slogan “Windows that protect.” in February 2011, it introduced three new developments at once. Aluminum DECOREX overlays on PVC structures, body-painted profile and composite reinforcement.
ORTEX SL670 is an innovative 6-chamber system of PVC profiles with an installation width of 70 mm. Combining advanced Austrian technologies in the field of extrusion and many years of German experience in creating the first PVC systems, the ORTEX profile embodies the most modern technical achievements to ensure high stability of products in harsh conditions over 60 years of active operation. The accuracy of the geometry and the high quality of the surface of the ORTEX PVC profile, obtained through constant (every hour), strict control during production, are a guarantee of truly high quality products made from our profile.

Types of plastic windows
When manufacturing Ortex plastic windows, we use ROTO fittings |
Ortex Premium Door
This series of profiles is designed for assembling warm entrance or balcony doors. They are compatible with burglar-resistant fittings. Unlike conventional systems, Premium Door is equipped with an aluminum threshold. Thanks to its use in the lower zone, the wear resistance of the entire door frame increases. The metal profile is equipped with a polyamide liner, which prevents the threshold from freezing in winter. The height of this element is only 20 mm, due to which there is no barrier in the lower area of the opening that could cause a tripping hazard. To complete door frames, the manufacturer offers 2 types of leaves:
- Z-leaf
– has 2 sealing contours, is designed for installation in interior openings and is compatible with swing and sliding opening mechanisms; - T-leaf
- designed to equip entrance door blocks, can open outward, is assembled from profiles 120 mm high and has 3 sealing contours.
Under the chamber for the reinforcing liners in the profiles for assembling door panels there are additional air cavities. This decision by the designers made it possible to minimize the risk of freezing of the sashes. The presence of an air gap in front of the chamber with a metal profile slows down the heat transfer process and increases the energy efficiency of the entire structure.
This Ortex system is a profile with an increased installation depth of up to 70 mm. This means that it is suitable for use in regions with moderately cold winters. Considering the large glazing area of such structures, it is recommended in all cases to equip door blocks with selective double-glazed windows. To give additional rigidity to the door blocks, it is possible to install closed reinforcement. The use of solid steel liners reduces the likelihood of deformation and eliminates the risk of blowing around the perimeter of the light opening.
Premium Door systems are presented with profiles in 4 colors - anthracite, caramel, chocolate and white. If you need to create a reliable imitation of products made from natural wood, the manufacturer offers the service of laminating the plastic surface with PVC films with light or dark oak texture decors. These coatings are supplemented with “Grey Antarcite” film, which also reliably imitates the surface relief of a wooden beam. Several decorative options for Optima metal-plastic doors ensure compatibility of blocks from Premium Door systems with any facades and interior interiors.
Myths about the profile class
“What class is your profile?” is one of the most common questions potential clients ask us. Many manufacturers of plastic windows consider this indicator to be almost the most important. However, most of them do not fully understand what it means. That is why the profile class has become overgrown with myths, which we will try to destroy today. And the main document of all PVC profile manufacturers operating in the Russian Federation will help us with this - GOST 30673-2013 “Polyvinyl chloride profiles for window and door blocks.” Myth 1: The higher the profile class, the higher its quality
Let's start with the fact that the profile class is determined by the thickness of its outer walls. Class A ≥ 3.0 mm Class B ≥ 2.5 mm Class C < 2.5 mm
At the same time, GOST states that “dividing profiles according to wall thickness does not make any difference in the requirements for the quality of profiles or window structures made from them.” Accordingly, the profile class does not say anything about its quality.
The quality of the profile, as a combination of various characteristics, depends to a greater extent not on the thickness of the walls, but on the plastic formulation: the components used and their ratio. Therefore, if you add a little magic and a lot of chalk to the formula, you can get a profile with thick walls of class A, which will be significantly inferior in quality to a profile with thinner walls of class B. Then what does the thickness of the walls affect?
Myth 2: The thicker the profile walls, the stronger the corners
Let's turn again to GOST: “Wall thickness is an indirect characteristic of the dimensional stability and strength of welded joints of profiles.” Indeed, thick-walled profiles have a larger weld area compared to thin-walled ones, which could provide a strong welded connection. But this is only possible if the other conditions are met. And if the plastic recipe is not balanced, the welding machine is not set up, and the welding technology is not followed, then even the thickest-walled class A profile will not produce a strong weld.
Let's say that we have before us a really high-quality PVC profile of class A with a balanced recipe and thick walls. Shouldn't he have some advantages?
Myth 3: Large structures can be produced from class A profile
Yes, from class A profile it is possible to make structures of large size and increased strength, subject to high static, dynamic and wind loads. In this case, it is important to fulfill two main conditions: install reliable closed reinforcement with a thickness of 2 mm and provide the necessary static elements.
The fact is that a PVC profile of any class has relatively low rigidity and fairly strong linear expansion. As we already know from GOST, “wall thickness is an indirect characteristic of dimensional stability,” so it does not have a significant effect and does not make the profile super-strong. The strength of PVC structures is ensured by the use of metal reinforcement. Its linear expansion is much smaller, so it does not allow the profile to expand in summer and contract in winter. Remember that each profile solves its own problems and suits certain goals.
When choosing a PVC profile, do not focus on the wall thickness and its class, look at all the characteristics and indicators as a whole. And remember that the final result depends not only on the PVC profile, but also on other components and materials.
Comparison table of parameters
In order for Ortex windows to successfully perform their functions, it is necessary to take into account not only the appearance and price, but also the thermal characteristics of profile systems and double-glazed windows. For openings with a large area, it is necessary to choose profiles with an increased installation depth and number of chambers. The maximum thickness of double-glazed windows that can be installed in fixed and active sashes is also important.
Profile brand | Installation depth (mm) | Number of cameras | Maximum glass thickness (mm) | Energy efficiency of Ortex profile systems with reinforcing liners (W/m²×°C) |
Classic | 58 | 3 | 32 | 0,71 |
Optima | 70 | 5 | 40 | 0,86 |
Optima Design | 70 | 5 | 40 | 0,86 |
Premium | 70 | 6 | 40 | 0,91 |
Premium Color | 70 | 6 | 40 | 0,91 |
Premium Decor | 70 | 6 | 40 | 0,91 |
Premium Door | 70 | 3 | 40 | 0,77 |
The presence in the Ortex company's assortment of several design series with approximately the same characteristics indicates that the manufacturer has tried to satisfy broad consumer needs. Thanks to the presence of such systems, it is easier to choose suitable windows that can withstand Russian frosts.
