Window sill care

Wipe off dust with a damp cloth. Do not wash with sponges with an abrasive surface or hard brushes: this will easily damage the wooden and plastic coating.

To care for plastic surfaces, buy products containing surfactants or alcohol. To remove contaminants, use safe substances that do not corrode plastic:

• white toothpaste or powder without additives;
• light laundry soap;

• washing powder.

Reference! Aggressive substances containing acetic or oxalic acid, as well as metal brushes, damage thin synthetic fibers and are therefore not suitable for cleaning mesh structures.

Features of washing plastic windows (double-glazed windows)

Double-glazed plastic windows require special treatment. To clean glass, you can use ordinary soapy water, but it is better to give preference to products with more powerful components: isopropyl and ammonia, plant surfactants.

If you need to clean a plastic window, refrain from using the following products:

• gasoline, acid and solvent: lead to a change in the shade of the window frame;
• abrasive dry compounds that mechanically damage plastic;
• folk recipes based on potassium permanganate: drips can leave hard-to-remove pink marks on the frame.

When washing plastic windows, you can not be afraid to use a lot of water. The material from which the frames are made is not afraid of moisture.

How to choose a rag?

When choosing a rag for cleaning windows, you need to start from what material it is made of. Possible options:

1. Faux suede . It collects water and dirt well and does not leave lint behind.
2. Microfiber. A reusable rag that not only collects dirt, but also polishes glass perfectly.
3. Viscose. Such rags are suitable for applying detergent, but collecting moisture with their help will be problematic.
