How Rehau Euro Design differs from other Rehau profiles
Euro-Design are available in 2 types - with a profile depth of 60 and 70 mm.
There is a strong similarity with Rehau Blitz products, with the only cardinal difference - the height of the plastic frame and sashes is much higher. Rehau Euro Design windows have a smooth glossy surface that is easy to clean and resistant to chips and scratches. Thanks to 15 degree bevels and 2mm radii on external visible surfaces, they have a more refined aesthetic appearance than their counterparts.
Euro profiles are made from proprietary RAU-PVC plastic, which is resistant to temperature changes, different climatic parameters and high humidity. Even after prolonged use they do not turn yellow.
2 sealing profiles - one on the frame and the other on the sash, make the windows much tighter, preventing dust, drafts and precipitation from entering the room.
Application
The REHAU Euro profile system is used in object construction and building reconstruction. It is suitable for arranging dachas, apartments, balconies, loggias. Windows, interior, entrance or balcony doors, including those with transoms, are made from the profile of this series. The doors of the products can open in one direction or another and be blind. THERMO-Design suggests going further and experimenting with the geometry of the sash. It is available in three versions: a classic design with right angles and laconic chopped lines, an incredibly popular (again, in the more expensive segment) rounded design sash, and a new single-plane sash that allows you to integrate more powerful double-glazed windows up to 40 mm (compared to conventional on the market 32 mm). When using a single-plane sash, the THERMO-Design profile reaches the thermal parameters of 70 mm systems.

Despite the fact that the THERMO-Design system combines all the latest technological developments, all applied innovations have one thing in common: being quite expensive at the development stage, they nevertheless have virtually no effect on the cost of profile production. What in other systems is often achieved through the use of imported materials and complex technical solutions, in THERMO-Design is the result of experiments with dimensions and geometry. As a result, the price tag for the new product is somewhere between BLITZ New and GRAZIO - systems that are quite affordable even by Russian standards.
Features of installation and adjustment
Installation of the Euro-Design 60 (70) system involves preparing the window opening. To do this, the compliance of horizontal and vertical surfaces is checked. They should be corrected if necessary.
First, fastening is carried out in the slopes using metal strips on dowels, with the obligatory preservation of an even horizon. If necessary, wooden blocks of the required thickness are used to level the frame. After firm fastening, the cracks are filled with polyurethane foam.
It is advisable to first install the frame separately, then install the sashes and double-glazed windows. If you do all the work yourself, it is recommended to maintain the integrity of the structure and install everything at once.
The displacement of the sash relative to the frame by 13 mm allows installation with an external wall without the risk of condensation and the effect of “crying windows” if the walls of the building are thin and it is necessary to preserve as much as possible the surface of the opening inside the room under the window sill.
Like other designs from the Rehau brand, Euro-Design is equipped with fittings with customization functions - window adjustment in 3 planes:
- the location of the sash relative to the frame (pressure) in the range of up to 2 mm;
- movement relative to the horizontal and vertical plane within 2 mm;
- the ability to move the sash by a distance of up to 2 mm relative to the end on which the hinges and control mechanism are located.
All manipulations are performed with a hex key, regardless of whether you need to turn a screw or an eccentric. Tightening some elements will require a shaped screwdriver.
