Adjustment

• if the sash sags and touches elements from below and above, a vertical adjustment is used. The defect is corrected by adjusting the lower hinges. They are tightened or loosened, resulting in the lower part of the sash taking the desired position;
• if the window does not close well or there are distortions or shifts, then the horizontal setting is used. The upper or lower hinges are adjusted with a special hex key;
• When blowing through windows, the sash pressure is adjusted. With this method, the position of the eccentrics along the entire perimeter of the sash changes.

Causes and troubleshooting procedures

Window won't close

: contamination of the mechanisms, often from time to time street dust gets in, the lubricant dries out, and after renovating the apartment, construction dust and dirt get in, which prevents the heavy movement of the fittings.

Elimination

: cleaning and lubricating fittings, in severe cases, removing mechanisms to clean large debris, mainly pieces of putty after repairs, etc.

The sash falls out

, there are also several reasons here: firstly, the opening limiter in the upper window mechanism (scissors) breaks off; this is treated by replacing the scissors responsible for tilting the sash; you can also fix the scissors, but there will be no tilting mode. In this case, you can install a comb for ventilation.

Handle jammed

, again, there are several reasons: for example, a hardware lock, which is installed at the level of the second handle in the upper part in the scissors, here the tongue wears out and the hardware is blocked in the folding position and the handle does not turn, you can remove it and the hardware will work no worse than new, the second lock can be treated by adjusting or deletion.

The sash does not open in tilt mode

: This may be a fracture of the flexible corner switch due to drying out of the lubricant and frequent use of the fittings. Eliminated by replacing the switch.

It is necessary to adjust Roto fittings in cases where certain problems arise during operation.

The well-known Roto fittings are distinguished by a high level of quality, and in order to ensure the correct installation and operation of all components, it is enough to check compliance with certain conditions:

1. The handle should turn smoothly, without unnecessary obstacles and efforts, creaking or other extraneous sounds. In accordance with the existing instructions, failure to comply with one of the listed conditions indicates the need to lubricate the fittings. Adjustment of plastic windows is carried out at least once every 10-12 months, without waiting for problems to arise. There is no point in looking for a lubricant in the nearest stores. Such products are supplied by the manufacturer complete with the window itself.
2. While the plastic window is closing, the lower sash should not touch the frame. If such a problem exists, then you will need to temporarily get rid of the cap on the bottom hinge and, picking up the hexagon, slowly rotate it. If the rotation is performed in a clockwise direction, the window frame will rise; by turning the key counterclockwise, you can lower the frame.
3. The system sometimes malfunctions and the middle part of the sash prevents closing. This will force the user to move the sash to the side, expose the horizontal screws and use the hex key to install the frame into position.

The main thing to remember is that turning the key clockwise increases the pressure. This mode is called “winter”, but if the movement is carried out in the opposite direction, then the “summer” mode comes into effect and the pressure will be weakened.

Adjusting the “winter-summer” mode

If there are several trunnions, they must be adjusted in the same way. The manufacturer has taken care of the presence of special marks that allow you to understand which mode is set at a given time. The risk towards the street is “summer” mode, the risk towards the room is “winter” mode.
