Replacing strike plates for Roto Centro fittings
Keeping strips - located on the frame, over time, break and grind down - this is a profile-dependent element of the fittings, therefore, when purchasing, you need to find out the name of the profile from which your windows are made, and it is better to have an old strip with you for comparison. Both the visible part and the “landing” part must match. If your strike plates are broken, it is better to replace them with similar ones, since any new ones will be unadjustable and you will not be able to increase or decrease the clamping force. The strike plates can be rotary (T-shaped) or tilt-and-turn (located at the bottom of the tilt-and-turn sashes). the Roto Centro

This is a profile-dependent element, start with one piece.
Compare the working and “landing” sides. If standard strike plates (roto-centro) could not be found, we offer two solutions: 1. Replacement of the entire trim with a new Roto NT
accessories.
Cost (depending on the size of the sash) - 6500-7500 rubles. 2. Replace with non-standard (i.e. from other fittings) strikers, but they will be non-adjustable. We do not have replacement strips for any PVC profile, so you must first send us a photo of the frame angle (as shown in the photo below), sometimes it is possible to identify the brand of the window profile from the photo. The strikers that are installed do not always fit perfectly; some require metalworking intervention. Therefore, the cost of replacing a T-shaped rotary striker depends on the brand of profile and the windows you have installed - from RUB 300/piece, but not less than RUB 2,500/order .
For some profiles we have strikers whose installation does not require professional intervention, i.e. you can install them yourself - from 200 rubles / piece. But in order to identify them, we need a photo of the frame corner, as shown above. If the swing-out strike plate is broken and requires replacement, then the situation is worse. The striker plates will not fit with any other fittings and you will have to “collectively farm” something. But even in this case, and also if your windows are wooden, you must first provide a photo of the working and “landing” sides of the broken (or similar broken) striker.
The reliability and durability of the installation of non-standard strikers always depends on the conscientiousness of the contractor.
Removing and installing strikers. The rotary strikers are attached with one screw, and the turn-and-turn strikers with two self-tapping screws and only in plastic (not in a metal reinforcement). Therefore, the main thing when removing and installing them is not to break the threads, otherwise you will have problems with the reliability of fastening the strip. This is correct: 1. When unscrewing the screws, remember the force. 2. After unscrewing, be sure to remove any plastic shavings from them, if any. If the screws have a drill, replace them with the same ones without a drill. 3. Installation: When tightening the screws, first turn them counterclockwise to get into the thread (the screw should rise and then fall through). Tighten (clockwise) until the end, with the same force as in step 1.

Repair and replacement of the main lock.
The main lock is a strapping element responsible for pressing part of the sash from the handle side. Quite often, the unit (where the handle is inserted) breaks down, which transmits the rotation of the handle into the displacement of the locking pins - the “gearbox”. Symptoms of this case are that the handle rotates, but the window does not open/close immediately or at all. Solution to the problem: - repair of the main constipation - you bring it and leave it, then pick it up, cost - 2700 rubles. - replacement of the main constipation - we come to you, repair and install, cost - 4500 rubles. If you are lucky, then perhaps the main constipation is alive, and only the handle is broken. It's easy to change the handle yourself. Just make sure that it is definitely a handle, otherwise (if the lock does break) after removing the handle, it may happen that you will not be able to install either this or a new handle again, and you will not be able to open or close the window. Repair and replacement of corner switch.
The corner switch is a corner element of the trim, located in the upper corner of the sash and transmits the movement of the main locking bar to the scissors (the upper horizontal part of the swing-out sash).
When located in the lower corner of the sash, it serves to press the bottom of the wide sash. Symptoms of a breakdown: - the window opens, but does not tilt (if it is a tilt-and-turn sash), - there is blowing from the sash from the side of the hinges and from above (if it is a tilt-and-turn sash), or from below (if it is a tilt-and-turn sash) . Solution to the problem: - repair of the corner switch - you bring it and leave it, then pick it up, cost - 2500 rubles. - replacement of the corner switch - we come to you, repair and install, cost - 4300 rubles. The top hinge (sash) is a profile-dependent element of the fittings; when purchasing, name the brand of the profile of the installed windows. The upper frame hinge is not profile-dependent.
The lower hinge is a non-profile independent element of the fittings.
“Scissors” - responsible for the folding position of the sash (ventilation). They rarely break.
Middle lock - installed on the hinged vertical part of the sash, or at the top/bottom (on the horizontal part of the sash) on wide sashes.
Scissors (without loop). Measure the width of the sash/door.
Moderate constipation. Measure the distance from the corner of the sash to the clamping pin.
Maintenance of windows with Roto Centro fittings.
If you're here, you're in trouble. It is important not only to solve them, but also to prevent similar ones with other windows. This requires care and prevention.
Proper care of fittings (1-2 times a year):
1. Wipe dust, dirt and soot with a rag along the entire perimeter of the fittings, especially on top on the horizontal side of the sash/door, 2. Vacuum the entire perimeter (all fittings trim), 3. Lubricate the entire perimeter trim, strikers, in the hooking areas, and locking pins. 4. Tighten the screws securing the fittings, if required. 5. It is necessary not to be lazy and switch the strikers to a higher/lower pressure mode in winter/summer; this will reduce wear on the rubbing elements of the fittings and extend the life of the rubber seal. How to do this is described on the hardware adjustment page... 6. If, suddenly, the handle stops turning, you cannot apply more force than usual. It is necessary to find out and eliminate the cause of the problem.

Who makes Roto NT fittings?
Since the invention of the tilt/turn mechanism in 1935 until today, Roto Frank has been producing window fittings. For more than 80 years, the company has remained one of the most recognizable in the world. Every third window in Russia is equipped with Roto fittings.
