What is the best profile for plastic windows?

If you are interested in a universal answer to this question, then the window profile that is standard in its performance properties is the premium products of such proven brands as Rehau, Aluplast and a number of other German ones. The top ones include the Geneo model, and Aluplast 8000 from Aluplast. The first provides 6 chambers, three sealing contours and has an installation depth of 86 mm, the second has an installation depth of 85 mm.

In such profile systems, you can install thick double-glazed windows - up to 53 and 60 mm, respectively, which allows you to achieve the best thermal and sound insulation performance when glazing.

True, even these best PVC window profiles are not needed in all situations, including due to their considerable cost. Thus, more affordable analogues, such as REHAU Euro Design 70 or Aluplast 4000, can provide an acceptable level of energy saving. Dear Nikolai, even before placing the order, I pestered you for a long time with my wishes about how to reduce the proportion of plastic in the structure and thereby increase the proportion of glass (I asked you about lowered sashes, narrowed imposts, slabs...). As an incompetent person, it was of no use to me then that the window openings in our house had rather large quarters. I’m ashamed to admit, but I didn’t even know what a “quarter window opening” was. Those 2 cm of “blocked opening” in no way prevent the window from being made a few centimeters wider, since I saw the width of the seam filled with foam along the perimeter of the window on the room side. By the way, the window opening in the kitchen is smooth. In our multi-apartment brick building, the vast majority of residents and even on the staircases have PVC windows installed. So, for many, the frame is hidden by about half or a little more, and for some it is almost invisible. A mosquito net is not a problem - it turns out that there are also options with Velcro, and if it’s an ordinary frame net, then a small strip of frame on the sides would be enough for it to stand up properly. Your first drawing with a window opening is clearly not our case. The protruding PSUL, which is shown in the photos I presented, became covered with a yellow coating over the summer and began to crumble. I had to clean off this crumbly coating with a brush, smear it a little with cement and paint it with PSUL acrylic paint for exterior use. I think, in its hardened and colored form, this tape will be much more useful than some dusty, crumbling substance. I do not in any way doubt the competence of your technical specialists, and especially yours. However, respected measurers should have a more active conversation with potential customers, explaining to them that window openings have quarters and, in this regard, recommend certain options for deepening the window frame. If a quarter allows, then why not use the opportunity to enlarge the window for those for whom it is important to get maximum light, which, as you know, passes through glass and not plastic. On the day of the measurement, Vitaly Viktorovich asked what profile I needed, to which I answered Rehau Delight with a rounded sash and a figured glazing bead. Naturally, he was surprised why a five-chamber profile was needed for a single-chamber double-glazed window. To which I responded accordingly - in order for more light to pass through the window, since this profile has a lower sash, frame and impost. He agreed and for some reason did not offer a more reasonable option with a standard cheap profile and the maximum possible opening of the window frame a quarter, from which the effect in the form of additional illumination is much greater. Naturally, this option is less beneficial for the window company than for the customer. The positive reputation of you and your company actually prompted me to order windows from Aluplast. But don’t get me wrong, I’m also a person, albeit an overly principled one. I waited almost a month (from 18.02 to 16.03) for new windows. And what was my disappointment to see the usual Rehau Delight instead of the curly profile that I ordered. We should have immediately abandoned this window, but the installers had already managed to break the old one. I had to accept it and leave everything as it was. If the word “deception” is not appropriate here, it turns out that I was simply misled when placing my order. And on the day when I signed the contract, I once again asked to show me a sample of the profile I needed (curly with a rounded sash) and indicated that I needed exactly this profile. Next, an agreement was drawn up, which indicated the name of the profile “Delight”. And how do I know how you classify the names of profiles there, but there are no inscriptions like “rounded sash” or “curly glazing bead” in the contract, so I already realized that I can’t be proven right. And what is the point of putting shaped beads on the Z57 sashes when I ordered rounded and even lower Z53 sashes. This photo perfectly demonstrates the difference between the sash that I ordered and the one that I received in the end:

The peculiarity of the design of this window system is that it does not have metal reinforcement, which has always been the most problematic area of old-generation plastic windows - this is where a cold bridge is formed. Therefore, the standard steel reinforcement for window profiles was replaced, replaced by innovative technologies - “bonding inside” and “powerdur inside”. The function of the amplifier is taken over by the glass unit, which is glued into the sash without the use of additional metal structures and gaskets. And it is better to refuse immediately from even more accessible, but unknown products. Problematic types of plastic window profiles, made semi-handmade or without proper technological control, can lead to such negative consequences as:
