  • New VEKA colors: Spectral Anthrazit

The usual white color is no longer the only possible option for painting windows, but despite this, in our country window structures are still predominantly white. However, in European countries, the popularity of windows (including plastic ones) made in a creative, bright design is growing. For example, in Germany the share of windows with colored profiles already exceeds 30%, and in Italy almost 2/3 of windows are colored. Some of the most popular options are windows stylized to resemble various types of natural wood and various shades with a slight metallic sheen.

Innovations in lamination

Just two years ago, the modern lamination Veka Spectral premiered at the famous window exhibition in Nuremberg.
As a result of the research work of the VEKA Technologiesservice GmbH group, in fact, a new PVC based film with wide consumer properties for window lamination was created - VEKA SPECTRAL, which allows you to vary the gloss, give the surface the appearance of an aluminum profile (can be combined with aluminum!), does not fade from UV and heats up significantly less under the rays of the sun. The new lamination has a pleasant velvety surface and tactile sensations. Windows laminated using VEKA SPECTRAL technology will work longer and more efficiently, look like new over many years of hard use and will not be subject to significant geometric distortion under thermal influences. Ideal window color

The ideal color for windows should be bright enough, but unobtrusive, it should be pleasing to the eye and not boring, and also be unique and not banal. And most importantly, the color of the windows should be in harmony with the overall style of the room and emphasize the individual taste of the owner. I would immediately like to draw your attention to the new development of the German brand VEKA, which was demonstrated at the Batimat exposition in April of this year in Moscow - a window profile with a completely new Spectral Anthrazit surface.

The developers are rightfully proud of their invention. This unique design and execution combines original characteristics that only this new product of the company has, which has become a source of pride for designers and an “ace in the hole” for promotion specialists.

What are the tricks?

  • Sustainability. Windows with the Spectral surface are significantly more resistant to all types of external influences: from ultraviolet radiation, rain and snow to scratching and thermal effects.
  • Doesn't overheat. The high reflectivity of the Spectral reduces the likelihood of profile deformation when exposed to sunlight, and also helps maintain a comfortable temperature in the house on hot days.
  • Texture . The Veka profile with the Spectral surface has a magical tactile appeal! I just want to feel it with my fingertips. The ultramatt surface can be compared to the highest quality fabric. Come to our office and try it, compare our feelings with yours!
  • Appearance. And finally, the windows and facade shades of fashionable gray (RAL 7016 Anthrazit) will emphasize your commitment to modern European style.

If you make anthracite on both sides (street + interior), then you can apply it to a gray base, that is, the window profile will have a gray color in the mass, and not white.

Here is an excellent story from Sergei Elnikov (Veka):

Stylish anthracite colored windows

December 23, 2016

Choosing the color of the frames is far from a minor matter; it should be approached with the utmost seriousness. Today, window companies offer a wide selection of color options. On the one hand, this is certainly an advantage - choose, taking only your own desires and preferences as a basis. But on the other hand, the wider the range of colors, the more difficult it is to make your own choice. In addition, you still have to decide on the method of imparting this same color to your new windows: lamination or external painting.

As practice shows, today many people prefer to look at the world through windows with wood-look lamination. And this is an excellent choice: Window Continent installs windows that are very difficult to distinguish in appearance, both in color and texture, from windows created from the most noble types of wood. Lamination technology allows you to get a window, for example, “from beech”, “stained” or “bleached oak” and other types of wood. The same technology allows you to create a window, the color of which will exactly match the design ideas of the customer, who considers the space of the room as a single whole.

Let's take anthracite gray as an example. As you know, anthracite is coal, the color of which varies from dark gray, almost black, to lighter tones. Dark tones with a metallic sheen are most often chosen by serious people who love stability and orderliness, both in business and in organizing their own space. A dark color can be a background for brighter colors used in the design of the room, or vice versa - windows and individual interior components can be used as an accent to somewhat mute other colors, balancing the overall color scheme. Too much dark tones of anthracite color in the interior can play a cruel joke, giving the interior gloom and provoking a depressed mood.

In this sense, charcoal gray is a more democratic color. Of course, there is no single search algorithm that leads to the choice of a specific color: someone comes from a passion for a particular color, someone matches it with the color of wallpaper or furniture, someone chooses it out of a desire to fit the window in the best possible way into an existing interior. One of our customers recently chose this color for the window in the living room, because he simply could not imagine his life without his favorite leather sofa and anthracite-colored armchair. He was determined to keep them even though the rest of the furniture had to be replaced. By wisely using the found color support in the frame of a large window, the designers were able to create an interior that combined the anthracite gray color of the upholstered furniture and window frame with the overall design of the living room. Moreover, the bright color accents that were added to the interior brought notes of a rainbow mood to the noble appearance of the room.

When choosing this color, you should be very careful in choosing the shape of the structure and the color of the handles. The right choice can enhance the image of the window, which will become an integral part of the overall interior. It is also worth scrupulously approaching the selection of color and texture of decorative elements for window decoration: layout, hinge covers, etc. All elements must correspond to the same style and color.

And just a few more words about color compatibility. Correctly selected colors can enliven the interior, filling it with emotions and beauty, but ignoring the laws of compatibility can dash all hopes of creating the desired space. Luckily, all shades of anthracite (mostly) pair well with other colors. Particular attention should be paid to the choice of shades, because different shades of the same color can create a different impression.

Anthracite color and its shades look good in combination with white and light tones of brown. Such combinations create a feeling of calm nobility and elegance. The darker the shades of anthracite, the better they combine with yellow, which adds a feeling of sunshine and warmth. The combination with green color enhances the impression of peace and comfort. Charcoal and blue colors get along well with each other, being representatives of the cold group of colors. An interesting effect can be obtained from a combination even with colors such as pink or purple. The main thing is not to forget about the room in which this combination will be used, as well as what effect you want to achieve.

Why is the MULTI-Vent child lock/ventilator needed?

Children's locks for plastic windows are not new in this industry, but it would not be amiss to remind you that such locks exist. Looking at the phrase “child lock”, you might think that this is a lock that is intended to be opened by your child. But in fact, everything is exactly the opposite. A child lock is a mechanism that is designed to prevent the sash of a plastic window from opening to such a distance that a child could intentionally or accidentally squeeze through it with all the ensuing tragic consequences.

    Ventilator “Winter-Summer” from Siegenia

Plastic windows must be ventilated. This is a common truth, which we think would not hurt to once again remind everyone who wants to install or has already installed PVC windows in their apartments. The need for ventilation is explained by two points at once.

Stained glass using English classical technology

Already in the Middle Ages, people understood that stained glass was beautiful; Yes, it’s beautiful there - it’s luxurious. Luxurious, because every stained glass window is a work of art, and the creation of each such masterpiece required not only painstaking work, but also the talent of the artist. Medieval stained glass artists dedicated this talent to glorifying the Creator. This is probably why their works, as well as the works of great architects, according to whose designs magnificent churches with stained glass windows were built, were granted a long life. So long that even today we, their distant descendants living in the 21st century, look with admiration at the creations of their hands.

Anthracite windows: various shades of gray

The RAL gray shade range includes colors from 7000 (gray) to 7047 (milky grey). Many dark shades, such as slate gray (7015), basalt gray (7012), steel gray (7011), granite gray (7026), graphite gray (7024).

Many window manufacturers introduce their own names for different shades of grey. Next to anthracite we find gray-gray, platinum, graphite, basalt.

Not all manufacturers strictly follow the RAL palette. There are other color combinations as well.

Companies can also create their own palettes. Therefore, sometimes anthracite-colored windows and doors may vary slightly in gray intensity.

Vertical anthracite and roof windows

Interestingly, anthracite windows look great on any facade, both for traditional houses with sloping roofs and modern, cubic shapes.

They are in harmony with white facades, wooden boards, and clinker cladding. They can be a clamp between light and gray fragments of the facade.

Anthracite is also very popular on roofs. Dark gray roof windows work well with roof tiles, flat sheets, which are produced in one color, and slates, which have a natural color.
