Description

Aluminum is considered a durable, dense, natural material that is harmless to human health.
German profiled aluminum windows are a certified hygienically clean product that meets the characteristics specified in GOST standards:

  • 23166-99 (for resistance to wind load, water and air permeability);
  • 30971-2012 (for installation joints).

Aluminum windows are represented by a high-quality material composition that does not have chemical impurities, and are manufactured using a special technology that uses several chambers (3-7), as well as frames with a depth of 60 to 120 (mm). The products are assembled manually, as well as mechanically , and are available in different colors.

Schuco has offices all over the world (in more than 80 countries). An important feature that marks the brand’s products is a product warranty of more than 95 years, ease of operation, ease of installation, quality noted by consumers over the past decades, as well as the production of its own fittings and components.

Schuco is presented in several varieties with excellent design , labeled AWS (Aluminium Window System). Windows are standard, with hidden sashes, panoramic sliding, folding, stained glass, panoramic, hinged, tilting, fixed. The company produces structures both according to factory dimensions and according to individual orders, so they can have different shapes and sizes.

Shuko provide ideal thermal insulation and protection from extraneous noise (49 dB). The German window system fully fulfills the functional purpose of a design with two or three guides, different opening options, and a protective lock on the fittings. The room is closed from drafts, precipitation, condensation, frost, UV rays, temperature changes, street dust and insects.

Schuco are in great demand for ultra-modern façade systems of standard and sliding types. They are also successfully used for home automation “Smart Home” or remote control.

Schuco LivIng (Shuco Living)

Shuko plastic windows, which are assembled using this innovative system with an installation depth of 82 mm, are suitable for use in harsh climatic conditions. After all, Schuco LivIng profiles have 7 internal chambers and 3 sealing contours. In combination with the increased installation depth, all this minimizes possible heat loss. The manufacturer was able to further improve the sealing properties of these structures by using the world's first weldable seal. This technology ensured uniform pressure on the sashes along their entire perimeter and reduced the risk of windows blowing through.

An example comparison of the characteristics of Schuco windows can be viewed in the image below:

The presented varieties have different prices , which depend on the total area of the window opening. At the same time, the length of Shuko windows is calculated individually, and can range from 1,400 to 2,100 (mm).

There is also a variety of AWS 50, which is considered a cold type profile, since it is used for completely unheated rooms. In the Russian Federation it is rarely ordered, preferring warmer profiles.

Schuco Corona AS 60 (Schuco Corona AS 60)

This is a basic system with a 60mm installation depth and 2 sealing circuits. The cross-section of profiles from the Corona AS 60 series allows the installation of reinforced anti-burglary fittings. The systems are suitable for the assembly of rectangular, trapezoidal, arched, triangular and round windows. Due to insufficient energy efficiency, such structures are not recommended for glazing residential or office buildings in the central and northern regions. They are designed for use in southern latitudes, and in colder climates they are suitable only for installation on balconies, loggias and any other unheated rooms.

Measurement and calculation of structures

Measurements and calculations of openings for the manufacture and installation of Schuco windows are carried out according to individual criteria. This is due to the fact that window openings in different houses have different dimensions (new or secondary market, and are divided into types - brick, panel, wood).

When contacting a company that manufactures and installs aluminum profiles, the manager uses a tape measure (3-4 m) to take measurements of the external and internal dimensions of the opening, taking into account the features of the wall surface. One feature is important here :

  • The width of the window is measured 3 times in three parts - upper, middle and lower. The smallest value is taken as the basis. The width is always less than the distance between the internal parts of the wall structure, and the value is always lower than the values between the connection points of the internal slopes.
  • An additional 2-3 cm is added to the height, which is necessary for the profile to fit into a quarter. It consists of a measurement from the bottom of the base to the upper slope from the outside, with a minus of 1-2 (cm) intended for the sealant.

In the calculations, the manager (engineer) takes into account such nuances, depending on the characteristics of the houses:

  • an L-shaped protrusion located along a quarter of the window, which is 6.5 (cm);

  • the condition of the straight opening (usually in brick buildings);
  • reverse 1/4 part in the end part, in which the outer walls are shorter than the inner ones;
  • measuring the width along the outer slopes, adding 4-6 (cm), and for strongly curved walls, another 2-3 (cm);
  • the resulting height value, in the presence of window sills and slopes, is reduced by 3-4 (cm) - this is how the stand profile (window sill) is taken into account;
  • in houses with standard openings, measurements are taken 4 times, taking into account the dimensions on 4 sides (top, bottom, right, left).

Errors in the calculations are unacceptable, as they will lead to distortions , deformations and other errors. It is advisable to use a laser level for calculations, which will help you see the horizontal or vertical deviation of the walls.

When taking measurements, take into account that the distance between the walls increases when old windows are dismantled. It is also worth checking the condition of the opening (chips, distortions, cracks), since possible repairs and plastering can add 1-2 (cm) on all sides.

Installation features

Aluminum German window structures from Schuco with their own fittings are discreet and have their own installation nuances. The installation steps are as follows :

  1. Installation of aluminum frame. It is aligned along the axes using wedges and fasteners secured in pre-drilled holes. At the same time, a construction seam is formed with construction foam.
  2. Fastening the structure in openings. For this, anchor plates and special dowel nails are used.
  3. Installation of window sill and ebb with self-tapping screws, laying sealant, foaming openings and cracks in the wall.

  4. Installation of double-glazed windows and sashes (sliding).
    Here they use guides (hinges and rollers) that move the sashes in a given direction. They are fixed with screws at a distance of 30 (mm) between the holes. At the same time, translucent elements are inserted into the part of the frame, called the blind part, as well as platbands around the perimeter.

  5. Fitting elements and axial locks are adjusted, and the operation of mechanisms is checked.
  6. The upper, side and lower parts of the sashes form an element in the form of the letter “P”, and a pre-selected type of double-glazed window is inserted into it.
  7. If the glass is inserted into a sliding sash, then the rest of the side part is attached to it, and then the functions of the rollers along the guides are adjusted. To do this, adjusting screws are used, which at the bottom help determine the height and position of the rollers for better sliding.

After installing the window profile, check the operation of all mechanisms, fittings, components and the reliability of installation of fasteners .

Adjustment for a Schuco window is especially necessary if the lower part of the sash is sagging, the handle is loose, the fittings do not turn, or there is air leaking from the cracks. It is carried out using pliers, a Phillips screwdriver, hexagons and an aerosol with a lubricating composition WD-40.

Schuco Corona SI 82 (Schuco Crown SL 82)

Windows from Shuko Korona profile systems are excellent for installation at sites in the Central Federal District. The presence of 6 chambers, 3 sealing contours and an 82-mm installation depth allows them to be classified as energy-efficient structures. Corona SI 82 windows are not only warm, but also bright, since they have a small frame width. Provided that selective double-glazed windows are used, these profiles are suitable for the manufacture of large structures without the risk of increasing heat loss. The presence of special threaded channels in the plastic ensures reliable fixation of the lower hinges. A 5-mm gap between the frame and the sash allows you to leave the seal in the area where the top hinge is fixed, which increases the tightness class.
