Sometimes droplets of moisture appear on the glass and frame of a plastic window. This is condensation that forms on their surface, especially in the cold season, for several reasons:
- there is high humidity in the room due to irregular ventilation;
- the width of the window sill is incorrectly selected;
- the design provides poor thermal insulation.
As a rule, this is a consequence of improper installation or manufacturing of the system from cheap, low-quality materials.
If you want to have a window that does not sweat, then we recommend installing a product from the Rehau profile.

Thermal windows
Our company offers a unique new product in Moscow - thermal windows. These are not the usual energy-saving or warm windows. Thermal windows are a heat source, a heating device that can be a complement or alternative to conventional heating.
Capabilities and features of thermal windows
Nobody likes foggy, damp plastic windows. This effect occurs due to the difference in temperature inside and outside the room. Another disadvantage of conventional windows is cold.
In contact with the cold glass, the warm air of the room cools down and falls down, resulting in a movement that feels like a small draft. It seems that there is still a draft from the windows.
In heated double-glazed windows, special glass is used - ThermoGlass. It is a transparent tempered glass sheet 4 or 6 mm thick, coated with a low-emissivity layer on which conductive conductors are applied.
Wiring is connected to the thermal window and electricity is connected, thanks to which the glass has a positive temperature. With such glazing there is never any condensation, and there is no cold blowing from the glass. According to feedback from our customers, thermal windows are pleasant to touch.
Types of window heating
Heating windows can have different degrees of heating, which differ in their application. Based on heating temperature, they are divided into three types of heating:
- basic (t – 55°C). Heating the glass up to 55 degrees allows such windows to become the main or only source of heat in the room. This is an excellent solution if heating can only be electric. This type of electric heating is the most efficient and inexpensive;
- combined (t – 40°C), combined with other types of heating, etc. An ideal solution for rooms with huge full-wall windows. Power 150-300 W/m2;
- additional (t – 30°С). The main purpose is to remove condensation, power – 50-150 W/m2.
Application of thermal windows
The features of thermal windows make their use practically universal:
- Often in the off-season, when the heating season has not yet begun or has already ended, and at night it’s minus outside, a warm window will save you from dampness and cold in the apartment.
- According to the law, it is prohibited to install a radiator from a central heating system in a loggia or balcony in Moscow. If you want to make a warm, cozy room there, you should buy thermal windows.
- In wet rooms (bathrooms in cottages, winter gardens, saunas and swimming pools), condensation always forms on the glass, which spoils the impeccable view from the window. With warm glazing, your pool will be warm even in winter, and nothing will cloud your view of the landscape.
- The price of thermal windows allows them to replace expensive floor radiators, which is half the price.
- If you like to use wide window sills as a place for reading and relaxing, your corner will become even more comfortable with heated glass.
Design Features
Recently, thermal windows offered by our company have become extremely popular. Experts conducted experiments and introduced a significant change in the profile design. They decided to increase the thickness of the block by installing more double-glazed windows, as well as a special thermal frame that prevents the transfer of cold. The uniqueness of the developed design is that in the new profile its thickness differs slightly from the old one. But the thermal window at the same time provides excellent thermal insulation parameters.
It fits any design solution when decorating a room or the facade of a building. A plastic profile with an increased thickness of 70 millimeters makes it possible to insert double-glazed windows with a depth of about 40 mm. They reliably protect premises from drafts, penetration of dirt and dust, and street noise.
The developed sealing system consists of a double protective circuit. The main polyvinyl chloride seal is supplemented with a special silicone two-leaf product. These petals maintain elasticity parameters over a wide temperature range. The result is a modern, stylish window that does not sweat even with a large temperature difference on its two sides. The system is perfectly adapted to the harsh winter weather conditions of Russia.
It should also be noted that the thermal structure has a new original appearance, made in a modern style. This adds sophistication to it, capable of satisfying any taste of the consumer.
Advantages of thermal windows with climate control
2021-02-02
If earlier ordering plastic windows for your home or apartment was quite expensive, which was practically the only reason for most clients refusing this service, today this is not the case. Companies that manufacture and install metal-plastic structures in St. Petersburg offer their clients discounts and installment payments, which makes using the services more affordable. Thus, almost anyone can install metal-plastic windows in their home or apartment. You can order windows on the website okna-narofominsk.ru.
And the fact that none of the other options have the advantages that modern metal-plastic structures have, makes the number of clients of these companies very large. Thermal window with climate control is one of the latest developments of plastic window manufacturers, which turns an ordinary window into something more, allowing you to make the atmosphere in the house more comfortable for life. So, when ordering a modern thermal window with climate control, the client receives:
- design based on the Bautek profile, which is distinguished by its strength and reliability;
- SmartBox III valve built into the design, which allows fresh air to enter the room without an open transom.
The valve is built inside the window structure, which makes it invisible to humans and in no way spoils the appearance of the opening. Thanks to its design, this valve does not affect the heat retention inside the room and does not allow noise from the street to pass through. In addition, depending on what wind load falls on one side or another of the building, the valve is adjusted so that the flow of fresh air is comfortable for a person, that is, there is no blowing from the window and at the same time there is always fresh air in the room, a heat package that includes energy-saving glass and plastic thermal distance frame in a 40 mm double-glazed window.
Energy-saving glass means a surface that does not allow cold air from the street to be transferred into the room due to its cooling and vice versa. In addition, with such double-glazed windows, the air in the room does not heat up when exposed to ultraviolet radiation. The plastic remote thermal frame, in turn, is much “warmer” than aluminum, which also ensures the preservation of heat in the room, regardless of what the current air temperature is outside.

Heated panoramic windows - and you will get rid of heating problems forever
Konstantin Nagdasev. ThermoGlass2019-08-3030.08.2019
Sergey, hello. We thank you for your attention to the Product and critical comments, since in our work we always rely on and take into account the point of view of Customers, Partners and Contractors. Before answering the questions, a small thermophysical digression, namely, why are radiators or convectors located either under the window or close to it? The answer is simple - to “supply” heat to the window by transferring heated air to the surface of the glass, since it is the window boundary that is one of the most vulnerable areas in the heat loss of a building, which in some cases can reach 25-35% of their total amount. Next, the heated air, rising up to the glass, is partially deflected both by the window sill and by counter flows of cold air from the surface of the glass (which weakens its calorific effect) and ultimately accumulates in the upper part of the room, increasing the heat flow to the ceiling, roof and enclosing structures and subsequently increasing heat loss through these areas, and cold air moves to the lower part of the room, which is the human habitation zone. Cold air again needs to be heated, thereby increasing the consumption of thermal energy from the main carrier. In this case, the so-called “cold window effect” may occur, when even in closed rooms a “draft” from the window is formed. Now let’s imagine that we have nothing to fight with, since the temperature of the glass is equal to or higher than the temperature in the room. Then why do you need a radiator or convector? Thus, the space under the window is freed up or the visible glass space increases with panoramic glazing, which makes the interior more attractive. Now about energy consumption. At an ambient air temperature of minus 5 degrees, C in heating mode up to 20 degrees, C consumption will be 20 W*h*m2. When heated above this temperature (up to 40-50 degrees C), energy is released into the room by infrared heat transfer in the long-wave range, similar to an IR heater, thereby compensating for losses through the enclosing structures. At the same time, the movement of air masses is also significantly reduced. Energy consumption in heating mode will depend on the level of thermal protection of your home and existing losses. Of course, the use of heated glass will entail an increase in energy consumption, but it is always necessary to comprehensively analyze the applicability and effect of this option to your situation and the tasks and goals being solved. If you have any questions, please contact us. Best regards, ThermoGlass Team
Thermal windows - a unique development for maximum comfort
What are thermal windows
When the thermometer scale outside the window drops below zero, a “cold window” effect is observed in conventional double-glazed windows.
The fact is that the surface of the glass closest to the room is always cool, and when the warm air inside the room comes into contact with it, it cools and goes down. The house feels drafty and cold. The use of heaters and other measures do not particularly improve comfort, but they do increase electricity bills. The glass still remains quite cold. , taking care of the comfort of its customers, has developed and patented a unique product - thermal windows. These products provide a source of heat and are used to heat the home.
At the same time, thermal windows should not be identified with thermal packages. This is a completely unique system that not only protects the room from heat loss, but also directly generates heat.
Scope of application of thermal windows
Windows "Window Continent" with heating function have a wide range of uses:
- Heating the house.
- Heating of balconies and loggias. This solution is very effective, especially since by law it is forbidden to install a central heating system in these places. As a result of the unique work of “Window Continent”, a balcony or loggia becomes another comfortable room.
- Anti-fog protection. This problem is relevant for swimming pools and saunas, where there is always high humidity. And thanks to thermal windows, the double-glazed window will be impeccably transparent.
- Replacement of floor radiators. These expensive structures are installed when glazing a room from ceiling to floor.
- Creating a comfortable relaxation area. For many, a cozy wide window sill becomes a favorite place of solitude, where it is so pleasant to climb up with a cup of tea and an interesting book. In the cold season, only cold glass mars the idyll; thermal windows correct this problem.
Thermal window installation
The design of the thermal window is simple. Tempered glass facing the room (its diameter is 4 mm or 6 mm) is covered with a special electrically conductive layer; it can be compared to “soft” spraying. At the same time, the product does not lose its transparency due to the conductive coating, as evidenced by feedback from Window Continent customers. A dimmer is built into the design; with its help, the glass temperature is adjusted to perform specific tasks:
- Auxiliary level (up to 30 °C). Allows you to prevent the formation of condensation on windows (relevant for rooms with high humidity), stimulate the growth of heat-loving indoor plants on the windowsill.
- Combined level (up to 40 °C). Creates a comfort zone on the windowsill where you can relax and unwind.
- Main level (up to 55 °C). It is relevant when windows are the main source of heat in the room, for example, if the building does not have a central heating system, and installing gas is problematic, there is only the possibility of electric heating.
Separately, it is worth mentioning the issue of security, which worries some potential customers. After all, thermal windows have a conductive coating. However, there is nothing to worry about. The coating is applied to the inner surface of the glass, so contact with it is excluded. Heating the window to 30-55 °C is not enough to cause burns. Tempering the glass provides it with protection from mechanical damage.
Are there analogues of thermal windows from "Window Continent"
Some window companies offer glass equipped with conductive film or self-adhesive conductive cores. However, these designs are inferior in efficiency to Window Continent products, since they have limited heating temperature capabilities, and the heating element itself is short-lived. Thus, this product cannot be called an analogue of thermal windows.
