Repair and adjustment of aluminum entrance doors
The main signs that indicate a critical need for repair or adjustment of an aluminum entrance door are as follows.

Replacement of glass unit

- The seat is thoroughly cleaned and small debris is removed. After this, the ends of the new double-glazed window are coated with a thin layer of silicone sealant (this is necessary to seal the window) and inserted into the rubber edging.
- The new glass is installed in its regular place and reinforced with glazing beads.
- Lastly, decorative plastic (or aluminum) trims are installed.

Replacing the lock
Unfortunately, locks are not always as reliable as we would like. At the first sign of malfunction, the lock must be disassembled and repaired or replaced. Otherwise, you may find yourself in an unpleasant situation when, due to a damaged lock, it is impossible to get into your own house or apartment.
The cause of a breakdown of the locking device may be a manufacturing defect, low-quality parts, or violation of operating standards. For example, if the door hinges are weakened and the door leaf is sagging, then soon you should expect surprises from the lock. To repair the lock, perform the following operations.
- Unscrew the fixing screws at the end of the door leaf.

- Loosen the door handle (if it is mounted together with the lock).
- Remove the locking mechanism from the mounting socket, while disconnecting the bolts.
- Disassemble the lock body and determine the cause of the problem.
To determine the cause of the lock failure, it is necessary to remove the top cover and gain access to its actuator
- Replace the damaged part.
- Reassemble and install the lock in reverse order.
If during disassembly it is discovered that restoring the lock is impossible or does not make sense, the lock is replaced completely. At the same time, it is important not to make a mistake with the dimensions and operating principle of the mechanism.
