I'll start from the very beginning. We planned to change the windows a long time ago, but somehow never got around to it. But when we got there, I thought my brain couldn’t handle such a volume of information. We began to choose where to buy windows, and it turns out that there are now a million companies that are ready to replace them. At the same time, we interviewed all friends, acquaintances, and relatives. In general, we settled on KALEVA and PLAFEN windows. When we arrived at the office, we really liked the service, they painted everything so beautifully, showed us everything, we almost decided to go with these windows. Then my husband began asking specific questions about window installation, but the manager could not answer us clearly. In the second store, of course, the premises themselves were modest, but we were impressed by the fact that everything was clearly laid out for us, and my husband received answers to all our questions. Well, in general, they didn’t buy into the pretentious speeches and chose PLAFEN. The master arrived and took measurements (by the way, he arrived at a time that was convenient for me). By the way, when they installed the doors, we had to wait all day; they couldn’t even tell us the exact delivery time. But let’s get back to the windows. Then a week later, on the weekend, the craftsmen arrived with the finished windows in one day, removed all the rubbish, told us what to do if, God forbid, something breaks, and left. About a month has passed, honestly, I’m very pleased with the windows, they look so beautiful and elegant. The installation depth or width of the sash is a parameter on which the possibility of installation in a certain opening and the possibility of using double-glazed windows of different thicknesses and with different numbers of chambers depend. The chamber is the space between the glasses or the cavity in the profile. It is the presence, number and tightness of the chambers that determine the window’s ability to keep out sounds and cold, not to deform and to work for a long time.

1. Line L is a series of standard designs in the budget segment, which uses a three-chamber profile with an installation depth of 60 mm for double-glazed windows with a thickness of 24 and 32 mm. It is characterized as reliable for use in central Russia and CIS countries without extreme winter cold. Confidently withstands temperatures down to -35 C.
2. Line E - with an installation depth of 60 mm, has 4 internal chambers with a wall thickness of 2.7 mm. It is possible to install double-glazed windows of 24 - 32 mm with no more than two chambers, which is quite suitable for window openings of standard projects of monolithic brick and monolithic houses.
3. Developed in 2010, the T line is based on a five-chamber profile with an increased installation depth of 70 mm. Allows you to confidently insulate rooms from the cold in severe frosts. A 32 mm double-glazed window with a recessed installation option for increased thermal insulation is installed in a window of this type.
4. The five-chamber plafen profiles of the S line are positioned as elite and especially protected due to the installation depth of 75 mm, which provides a high level of strength and frost resistance. This is the most expensive series of windows that can be installed in high-rise buildings, in places with harsh climates, and, if necessary, create particularly durable translucent structures with an advanced design.

Production Features

The production capacity of the Russian plant allows the production of up to 130 tons of profiles per day.

To obtain a uniform mixture without voids, a modern mixing unit is used, on which the quality of future products largely depends. The system is controlled by a computer program, and the entire process is fully automated, so possible errors made by the operating personnel are excluded.

The mixture turns out to be homogeneous and uniform, due to which, after extruding the profile, high-quality products are obtained. The amount of ingredients added to the future Plafen profile is strictly controlled by computer. These processes are also performed automatically. The composition can be adjusted, since the system has the ability to check the mixture using a visual inspection on the monitor.

Series produced

L-line is the standard series with an incomparable glossy surface. It has an affordable price. Three-chamber systems having a width of 60 mm. Possible thickness of double-glazed windows is 24 mm and 32 mm.

E-line is an improved 4-chamber PVC system with a 60 mm installation width. They can be equipped with single-chamber double-glazed windows (24 mm) or double-glazed windows - up to 32 mm.

T-Line - five-chamber, 70 mm wide - developed in 2010. It is loved by customers of plastic windows in Moscow for its high resistance to harsh climatic conditions. The system uses the latest developments of the company (3 patents for inventions). Installing a 32-mm double-glazed window, deeper than the usual one recessed into the profile, will reduce heat loss.

Profiles ONLY of the highest class “A”

According to GOST 30673-99 “PVC profiles for window and door blocks” in terms of the thickness of the internal walls, ALL of our profiles are the highest class “A” - the thickness of their front wall is at least 3 mm.

GOST standards for different classes:

• class “A”: front wall not less than 3.0 mm
• class “B”: front wall not less than 2.5 mm
• class “C”: wall thickness is not standardized

Please note that 80-90% of the Russian market are classes “B” and “C” and only 10-20% are class “A” profiles. At the same time, VEKA’s assortment includes ONLY class “A” profiles.

We fundamentally DO NOT use profile systems of classes “B” and “C” (with a front wall width of less than 3.0 mm).

• frost-resistant version “M”: the average temperature in January is lower than minus 20°C

Heat transfer resistance (thermal thermal resistance) is the main thermal insulation coefficient. It is determined by the ratio of the temperature difference between the outside and inside the room to the heat flow passing through the window.
