Why am I unhappy with these windows? Details of 8-month operation.
We replaced our old windows with plastic ones about 8 months ago. I focused more on prices, although they are all about the same. The choice fell on Brusbox plastic windows.
This is a Russian brand, they are manufactured in Russia - on the website, if you wish, you can see all the necessary information.
I installed different windows in both rooms - in one room with one opening mechanism, where the middle part opens, it is quite wide, almost 50% of the total width of the entire window - below in the photo. In terms of cost, this window cost me $215 (the ruble exchange rate keeps fluctuating, so I give the price in terms of currency).
And this is how the window looks from the street.
And such a window with two opening mechanisms is in another room. I am attaching a photo during installation, the tape with the Brusbox logo has not yet been removed. And this window cost $250/
Well, they already look neat. In winter.
The kit also includes mosquito nets, and plus protection from children - these are locks. When you lock it, the maximum you can open the windows is in ventilation mode.
In principle, these plastic windows have everything as standard. Several ventilation modes - ventilation, micro mode and step opening.
The appearance is simply excellent - the aesthetics are pleasing to the eye.
Now let's talk about the disadvantages. I would note the thermal protection and sound insulation as weak. Although it would not be very fair to find fault here, since the manufacturer Brusbox itself warns about this. I ordered three-chamber windows - 60 mm wide.
Okay, it's not that critical.
But the worst thing is that I literally suffered with these windows. For this reason, I called the master three times. And every time with the same problem - the windows are not airtight! The wind blew from them so much that it was a nightmare! I was terribly upset. The master came without any questions, but he couldn’t really understand the reason himself.
What's wrong? Either in the installation itself or for some other reason, we got frozen this winter.
And he refilled the foam twice, cleaning out the previous one. I switched the tires to winter mode so that they were pressed tighter - in short, I was tired of the constant winds. Still, you pay a lot of money, but you get such quality.
After the last visit of the master, there were no strong winds as such to make sure of his next window correction. By the way, the last time it turned out that the tires were hanging out in one window - that’s a complete failure. And the most interesting thing is that I didn’t even open the left flap for ventilation - I don’t understand how the rubber ended up being squeezed out of the grooves. I asked him if he checked the rubber during installation, the answer was negative - like, this has never happened.
By the way, one mosquito net does not fit tightly to the window - not only mosquitoes, but also flies and wasps can easily get through such a gap.
The remaining mosquitoes fit tightly and securely.
These are the jamb windows I got. Well, from my experience, can I recommend Brusbox windows? I come to the conclusion that in order to avoid such serious incidents, it is better to look for some other plastic windows - for my part, I do not want to recommend them. No!
