Despite the large number of manufacturing companies, the choice of profile for glazing a loggia or balcony can be reduced to one question: Provedal or Slidors? Both profiles are convenient to use in confined spaces, both profiles are in the same price category, although, as a rule, Sliders sliding windows are somewhat more expensive. It all depends on the manufacturer and installation prices.
Reviews from buyers and sellers about aluminum profiles are contradictory. Compared to Slidors, Provedal pleases with its durability (unlike plastic, aluminum does not turn yellow or deform). On the other hand, there is the problem of freezing of the sashes during the cold season.

The technical characteristics of both profiles are largely similar. The only really important difference is the heat transfer resistance coefficient. For Sliders it is 0.15 m² C/W for one glass and 0.33 m² C/W for a single-chamber double-glazed window. Provedal has a coefficient of 0.07 m² C/W, that is, it is at least two times lower.
In this regard, sliding plastic windows, of course, look more attractive. At the same time, we should not forget that sliding systems are used not only for glazing balconies. The same Provedal, for example, is very popular when equipping interior partitions, so here a lot depends on where exactly you mount the profile.

If you are going to set up a gym, office, or bedroom on the balcony space, you will need warm glazing to create the most comfortable environment. But for a small greenhouse and storage of household items, semi-warm glazing is quite suitable.
Advantages of semi-warm glazing
