Aluminum entrance doors made of aluminum profile – Instructions

Aluminum doors are a structure made of aluminum profiles with transparent, opaque or combined filling. The DoorHan company produces three types of aluminum doors - swing, pendulum and automatic sliding, differing in the opening method. They are intended for installation in internal openings or facade systems of buildings, usually for social and domestic purposes. Aluminum doors are designed to withstand heavy loads during intensive use, so their use is widespread in buildings with a large flow of visitors - business centers, hotels and shopping and entertainment centers.

Aluminum door profiles are painted with polyester powder paint in a production spray booth, which ensures high anti-corrosion properties of the door structure and extends its service life.

Features of choice

When choosing entrance aluminum doors made of aluminum profiles, external characteristics in the form of color or size are not considered significant criteria, since a wide range of materials and technologies makes it possible to choose elements that suit aesthetic requirements.
But there are also certain nuances that you should pay attention to when selecting a product attention

This includes the fact that coloring should be done evenly. Under no circumstances should unevenness, changes in depth, or smudges be allowed. Such dyeing by hand is prohibited. Aluminum must have special notches on its surface, due to which the thermostat layer will be retained. The minimum permissible width of a thermostat element in a door made from an aluminum profile is only 2 cm. It is strongly not recommended to use window hinges during installation work. For this reason, when purchasing, you should make sure that the door hinge mechanisms are already included.

The material used as a seal must be made of EPDM or silicone. The use of other materials will lead to cracks appearing on the seal due to temperature changes. The joints between the sealing material and the glass unit must have a uniform, even structure. The presence of cracks and gaps must not be allowed under any circumstances!

In the corners of the product, the brackets must be secured with an adhesive base, sealant, and the parts themselves must be secured with pins. It is also necessary that there is a tight fit of the beads to each other, which are located on the inside of the structure.

Our news

When making a request for the production of an aluminum structure, the buyer does not always know what exactly he needs. The application in the form in which the customer wants to implement it may have a number of restrictions, for example, the permissible width and height of the sash on an aluminum entrance door, an aluminum window or the square footage of a blind window in an aluminum stained glass window, the width of a double-glazed window, etc.

It is necessary to understand that in order to correctly place an order, many parameters are taken into account, for example, wind load, high or low traffic flow of people, squaring of aluminum products, etc. In this article we will tell you what are the features of processing a request for the production of aluminum structures. It is important not only to place an order, but also to provide a guarantee for the work performed. For clarity, the example will focus on the position: aluminum entrance door.

Kinds

Doors with a warm profile equipped with a thermal insert are installed either in heated rooms or where it is necessary to clearly separate the heated part of the home from the cold part. In all other cases, there is no benefit from the thermal insert and you can choose cheaper input designs. The interior door can also be insulated or not.

By installing a modern aluminum door at the entrance to your home, you will achieve a positive external impression and make your life safer.

It is quite easy to recognize a cold door block (which does not contain insulation or thermal break) - it has a simple rectangular shape. The complexity of the configuration clearly shows that there are air chambers and special materials inside (most often polyamide and fiberglass).

It is advisable to install double aluminum doors if you want to increase protection from extraneous noise. They also bring undoubted benefits in places with harsh climates, helping to retain more heat. You can also insert tinted glass into a double street door, creating a unique facade.

A small nuance: in reality, all door structures are made not from pure aluminum, but from its alloy with silicon and magnesium. In this way, technologists achieve very high wear resistance and decent appearance. Standard profiles are suitable for decorating an entrance in a modernist or minimalist style. But with a custom order, you can get exterior doors that are perfect for any home.

Entrance doors: aluminum or plastic?

During the construction or reconstruction of commercial buildings: office buildings, shops, shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, banks, the problem arises with the choice of material from which the entrance doors will be made. Modern technologies offer at least two options: plastic and aluminum.

Metal-plastic doorsAluminum doors “cold” seriesAluminum doors “warm” series

PLASTIC DOORS.

Metal-plastic doors have long been familiar in the modern exterior of our streets and interiors. Plastic doors are made of polyvinyl chloride, a material resistant to environmental influences. Attractive appearance, the ability to laminate the profile in any color, reliability and low cost compared to other materials have made plastic the most common material for entrance doors.

ALUMINUM DOORS.

The aluminum profile is made of a three-component alloy: aluminum, magnesium and silicon and does not contain heavy metal impurities. This composition gives the structures lightness, strength and beautiful appearance. Aluminum doors are mounted both in complex translucent structures (facades, entrance lobbies, office partitions) and in capital openings.

There is an opinion that aluminum doors freeze. Indeed, aluminum has high thermal conductivity compared to plastic, therefore, depending on the scope of application, aluminum profiles are divided into “cold” and “warm”:

Doors made of cold aluminum are installed indoors, as entrance groups in rooms where there is a vestibule, on unheated verandas and gazebos. During the cold season, condensation may form on cold aluminum, since the single-chamber aluminum profile has an unbroken structure and does not contain thermal breaks - thermal bridges made of polyamide.

The “warm” aluminum profile consists of two parts connected by a polyamide thermal bridge, which separates the cold space from the warm one. A reliable triple seal along the entire contour of the door, a brush seal along the bottom of the door prevents the passage of air and moisture from outside to inside the room. This profile structure allows you to retain heat in the room. Doors made of warm aluminum are installed in heated residential and office premises, for external glazing of entrance areas, and built into facades.

ADVANTAGES OF PLASTIC STRUCTURES.

Economical.

For metal-plastic doors, you can choose a configuration in which the cost of the door is 30% lower than its aluminum counterpart.

Warm.

The thermal conductivity of plastic is much lower than aluminum, so it is generally accepted that such doors are warmer than aluminum ones.

ADVANTAGES OF ALUMINUM STRUCTURES.

Durability.

The service life of aluminum doors exceeds plastic ones by 20-30 years.

Resistance to deformation

. Aluminum doors are tougher, as they are made of durable metal, while plastic requires the installation of an additional reinforced profile with a thickness of at least 1.3 mm. Due to the greater rigidity and lightness of the structure, the door leaf does not sag during operation, the profile does not “bend” or deform, which is possible in plastic doors. This is confirmed by the coefficient of linear thermal expansion, which shows the relative change in the length of the material when heated by one degree. The coefficient for aluminum is two times lower than polyvinyl chloride.

Design dimensions

. For long-term operation of an aluminum door, the leaf size is allowed up to 1200 mm. At the same time, for normal operation of a plastic door, the width of the leaf should not exceed 900 mm. Therefore, large structures with different configurations and opening methods can be made from aluminum systems.

Aesthetics.

Aluminum doors can be made in any color range (according to the RAL scale), polymer coating, galvanic coating and wood structure application (sublimation). Aluminum doors do not need to be painted over time, since their surface is protected by durable enamel, which is resistant to temperature changes and moisture. Aluminum doors add solidity and style to any room, so they are most common in banks, business and shopping centers. There are excellent solutions for private residential premises.

Which street door is better?

So, which outdoor door is best? You cannot buy the first design you come across; it should be noted that the thickness of the steel of a reliable product must be at least 3 mm.

The type of locking mechanism is of great importance; it is best if there are two locks on the door. At the same time, experts recommend using two different types of locking devices; the combination of lever and cylinder is considered the most successful.

Any buyer pays attention to such a factor as the price of the entrance block. Products that are too cheap are unlikely to protect residents of the house from unauthorized access; they are not of high quality

Installation of outdoor door structure

Installation of a metal structure has its own characteristics depending on the material of the walls of the house. The simplest task will be if the walls are built of brick or solid blocks. Some additional measures will have to be taken if the structure is built from lightweight materials such as foam blocks. In this case, the doorway is strengthened. One way is to install a reinforced portal tied to the main wall. Such work is carried out during the construction phase. When construction work has already been completed, the solution may be to install a welded frame.

Separately, it is worth paying attention to the correct installation in a wooden house. A structure made of wood shrinks during the first years, so it is necessary to reinforce the opening with a casing before installing a metal door.

Such work involves cutting out special ridges at the ends of the walls to install the casing. An important point is the correspondence between the dimensions of the entrance structure and the doorway. The technological gap in this case should be 1 cm. If the dimensions do not match, the doorway will need to be adjusted, which may be associated with various difficulties.

Configuration and dimensions

What distinguishes aluminum door systems from many others is that such doors can be made to order according to any measurements provided by the customer. There are no standard sizes from which you cannot deviate.

The most common filling for a profile of this design is glass. This is an excellent “canvas” for applying drawings, patterns, and inscriptions. As for the canvases themselves, they are made both blind and combined, equipped with roller shutters.

Aluminum structures with double-glazed windows have undeniable advantages such as long service life, high strength, and aesthetic appearance. When double-glazed windows are selected by a specialist, it is practically invulnerable to physical impact and unauthorized intrusion.

If you need a reliable door with glass, then choose a double-glazed window made up of several types of material:

  1. Organic glass. The material is valued at the same time for its high strength and affordable price. Plexiglas is a universal filler.
  2. Strained glass. The material allows you to guarantee reliable protection against burglary due to its high strength. Tempered glass is a material that provides excellent heat and sound insulation.
  3. Frosted glass. A choice for lovers of a strict interior in the spirit of “minimalism”. Prevents direct sunlight from entering the room.
  4. Tinted glass. A special film is glued onto the shiny transparent surface, which covers what is happening in the room from the eyes of curious passers-by.
  5. Mirror glass. An excellent choice for fans of futuristic design. Ideal for both office space and private homes.

As for interior rooms, several types of glass filling are offered for them:

  1. Triplex. Triple filling: glass + plastic + glass.
  2. Matelux. Matte material, which not only hides what is happening in the room from prying eyes, but also has enviable strength (several times more than ordinary glass).
  3. Strained glass. The most durable among similar materials (10 times stronger than ordinary glass).

Often the entrance door structure is equipped with roller shutters. This is an additional barrier against precipitation, dust, bad weather, and unauthorized access. Ordering a model with roller shutters has several additional advantages:

  • Extension of the guaranteed period of operation.
  • Provides additional strength and reliability.

Options in the interior

One of the interesting new products of recent times is the combination of aluminum with wood or glass. An example is the product of Alstem, or more precisely, the Illusion box. This product was originally designed so that it could be used anywhere. Before finishing begins, the box will disappear into the wall; you can buy it in four different colors and even repaint it at your discretion.

In a modern interior, where there are openings of non-standard size, transom structures can also be used (they will allow you to mount door blocks up to 295 centimeters high). You can’t go wrong when choosing products from the Longhi factory; there are a number of interesting offers in its line. The Ianus series is flexible and extraordinary, adapting to the surrounding space, capable of combining the most disparate elements and contrasts in a harmonious composition.

The Headline series from the same manufacturer is a premium solution that embodies the style and taste characteristic of Italian things. The Wall-up collection is notable for its unique sliding system, which is completely invisible to the observer (located entirely inside the canvas).

Not everyone can afford to buy a unique designer door, and most people are forced to limit themselves to mass-produced products. This does not exclude the possibility of choosing a completely original and beautiful option. Door blocks made of aluminum from the Orman brand (Vitrag I series) are sliding and can be used in the opening of any room. The color schemes of the collection are varied, decoration is carried out:

  • glass;
  • MDF;
  • Chipboard.

Swinging doors with one or two leaves, with double glazing (matte, transparent or decorated with patterns) - this is the Vitrag II series. Those versions that use transparent fillers can easily fit into both the office and the space of a residential building. Thanks to Matolux, it is possible to reduce the visibility of the inside of the room; it is not surprising that this particular material is used in bathroom doors.

A completely blank aluminum door provides the highest privacy and intimacy in the home

When choosing it for a reputable institution, they focus on status, and at the same time, security also increases. A wide variety of appearance will allow you to fit the opaque entrance element into any interior or exterior

The combination of doors and windows can be the most intricate; there are no ready-made recipes for this.

Think about how different colors and shapes will look, not on their own, but throughout the room as a whole.

Installation of aluminum structures

Let's consider the case when aluminum entrance doors made of aluminum profiles are installed. Let's use a swing door as an example:

  1. Initially, preparation is carried out. Remove the old door and its surround.
  2. Install the aluminum entrance door frame into the resulting opening. In order to raise the structure to the desired height and fix it in the center, use mounting wedges.
  3. The correct position of the door frame in space is checked using a bubble level. If the system has an error, replace the gaskets (wedges) to eliminate it.
  4. Mark 0.2-0.3 m from the bottom and top of the box. Determine the center.
  5. Mark 20 cm each in the door frame with aluminum profile and the door threshold.
  6. At all designated points you need to drill holes, preferably with a diameter of 10 mm.
  7. Next, dowels are installed in the holes. Lightly screw the bolts into the dowels by 2/3.
  8. Check the door position again using a level and adjust it if necessary.
  9. Tighten the dowel bolts completely.
  10. Next, hang the door on its hinges.
  11. Check how well the design closes and opens and how other fittings, such as a lock, work.
  12. Check the operation of the handles.
  13. Wet the gap between the wall and the door frame with water.
  14. Fill the gap with foam. There is no need to put too much of it.
  15. Wait about 12 hours, this time is needed for the foam to dry completely.
  16. Remove the mounting spacers and refill the holes with foam.
  17. Leave the product closed without movement for a day. It is necessary for the foam to harden completely.

Don't forget to order a threshold when you buy aluminum profile entrance doors. Only a factory-made aluminum profile door threshold can work correctly.

Certified materials for window installation

An important factor ensuring high-quality installation of PVC windows in Kazan is the use of professional certified consumables for installation of products. These include: polyurethane foam, sealants, anchor plates, and in the case of installation of products in accordance with GOST - waterproofing tape, vapor barrier tape and PSUL (pre-compressed sealing tape). The use of these tapes is regulated by GOST 30971-2002 “Installation seams of junctions with wall openings” and helps to increase the service life of the assembly seam.

Advantages and disadvantages

Aluminum door structures have long been in high consumer demand and have a lot of positive reviews. Consumers who have been using such doors for quite some time note the following advantages:

  • the high strength of doors is due to the resistance of the metal to external mechanical influences, temperature changes and high humidity. This allows you to install aluminum structures both as interior and entrance doors.
  • The products are successfully used in swimming pools, bathhouses, sports complexes, educational and healthcare institutions, office and shopping centers, train stations and airports, offices, apartments and country houses. As entrance doors, aluminum models can be installed in any climate zone;

  • aluminum doors are very light in weight, which reduces the load on hinges, fittings and structural mechanisms. This allows you to extend the service life of products up to 50 years.
  • They can be operated in a wide temperature range - from 80 degrees below zero to plus 100. The door leaf is not subject to deformation and retains its shape and integrity throughout its entire service life, which is designed for 100 thousand opening-closing cycles;
  • aluminum is an environmentally friendly, non-radioactive material; it contains no harmful impurities or particles of heavy metals. Thanks to these properties, aluminum doors are absolutely harmless and hygienic.
  • They are easy to care for, tolerate treatment with any household chemicals, and do not require special expensive maintenance or repairs.
  • Replacing damaged elements can be done in fragments, without replacing the entire structure. This is possible thanks to the widespread availability of aluminum profiles, the production of which is carried out by a large number of companies, and the stable availability of components;
  • doors can be easily painted in the desired color, which allows you to purchase the desired option that will look harmonious with the facade and interior decoration of the room. At the request of the customer, the product can be completely glazed or decorated with glass inserts. Glass can be transparent, tinted, frosted, stained glass or decorated with a pattern. The doors are resistant to ultraviolet rays, so they retain their original appearance for a long time and do not fade or fade.
  • The models are not prone to the accumulation of static electricity, are not subject to corrosion and are not prone to mold and mildew. The proliferation of pathogenic bacteria and microorganisms is also excluded;
  • Aluminum structures can be equipped with any opening mechanism, which makes their scope of application very wide, and their operation reliable and convenient. The doors have high noise and heat insulation properties, which allows them to be used in gyms, music schools and other institutions. where an increased level of sound insulation is required.

The disadvantage of aluminum structures is their fairly high price. which starts from 12 thousand rubles per square meter. Another disadvantage is the incompatibility of the models with many interiors. Aluminum doors are suitable for ultra-modern styles such as hi-tech, minimalism and techno.

Any color to match the building facade or interior

The advantage of aluminum door structures is the ability to choose the color of the profile coating. But, in addition to color, pay attention to the following:

  1. Quantity and quality of loops. At least four pieces per door leaf.
  2. The heat-insulating material must be high-quality pressed and have notches on its “body” for gluing the seal.
  3. If you buy an external door, then the thickness of the insulating layer should not be thinner than 2 cm.
  4. The decorative dye should be applied evenly, without gaps or smudges.
  5. A reliable lock has vertical additional bolts in its structure.
  6. The seal contains a silicone insert made of synthetic elastomers.
  7. The node brackets are securely fastened and their pins are pressed into place.

Aluminum door: features of entrance structures

The design of an aluminum profile sheet includes several components. The operating principle of such doors may be different, but different entrance groups have a common structure, which is determined by their operational affiliation. Let's consider what elements include entrance doors.

Input aluminum canvases include from 3 to 5 chambers

The basis of the design is the door frame. Such a profile, depending on the purpose of the canvas, may have different thicknesses. The minimum value is 75 mm.

The canvas is a frame that contains a profile equipped with sealing elements. The average thickness of this aluminum profile for doors is about 50 mm. The number of cameras in such a canvas may vary. The minimum number of compartments is 3, and the maximum is 5.

One of the most important elements of a door is the lock. The design of the locking elements may vary. There are simple locks and more complex options. For simple designs in aluminum doors, it is recommended to use bolt locking elements with several points for securing the door leaf. For entrance groups, the best solution is a mortise lock.

As a rule, double-glazed windows with a thickness of 24 or 32 mm are used for entrance structures

Auxiliary fittings include hinges on which the door leaf is mounted. The minimum quantity of these products is 2 pieces. Designs installed on 3 hinges are much less common. Typically, this number of elements is used when it is necessary to increase protection. And also 3 hinges are installed when a heavy aluminum entrance door is installed. The price of this design is higher than the cost of standard analogues.

For the entrance group, an excellent solution is to purchase internal hinges. It is almost impossible to hack such hinges, since they are hidden.

The door structure includes double-glazed windows. Their thickness depends on the number of chambers. The most common are double-glazed windows, the thickness of which is 24 mm. The 32mm version is also popular. Among the remaining fittings, it is worth noting the following components: handle and peephole. Handles for aluminum doors come in a variety of shapes.

And finally, the last element of the door structure is the threshold. It is only necessary when it is necessary to increase thermal protection. Thresholds are made from profiles and include sealing parts.

It is recommended to install mortise locks on aluminum entrance doors.

How to choose an aluminum entrance door: recommendations

Before purchasing an entrance door made of this material, you need to pay attention to some nuances that allow you to make the right choice. First of all, it is worth keeping in mind that some unscrupulous manufacturers use window profiles for the manufacture of entrance and interior panels

This design is significantly inferior in technical characteristics to the door type, so you should be careful and take into account the thickness and weight of the product.

When choosing an interior design, it is recommended to pay attention to doors with aluminum edges. Such fabrics, as a rule, have increased wear resistance and last several years longer.

Another factor that allows you to evaluate the quality of a door before purchasing it is the color of the door leaf. Factory processing eliminates the presence of smudges and roughness, which is easy to determine. Low-quality products are cheaper, but you should not save on purchasing this design. The price of an aluminum entrance door with good quality glass ranges from 20 to 30 thousand rubles.

When purchasing an aluminum entrance door, you should not save money; a high-quality design costs an average of 25 thousand rubles

It is recommended to purchase the entrance group from a warm type of aluminum profile. Using the cold type has many disadvantages. In winter, such doors will freeze, which will lead to the formation of condensation on the inner surface of the structure

The quality of the seal is another point that you should pay attention to. Cracks appear on low-quality seals quite quickly - after just one year of using the door

Technical requirements

GOST R 51224-98 Banking protective equipment. doors and hatches. general technical conditions (with changes n 1, 2)

If aluminum alloys are used for manufacturing, their technical characteristics must comply with the requirements of the standard and other regulatory and technical documents and working drawings that are developed during the manufacture of a specific type of product. All models, regardless of design features, are required to have the following characteristics:

  • Heat transfer resistance according to SNiP II-3-79;
  • Breathability resistance
  • Durable to withstand operating loads, transportation and installation.

Glazed door

The number of opening/closing cycles that a door can withstand without destruction should reach 100 thousand. Products are designed for static load, which is determined in accordance with the main regulatory document. All products must withstand wind load, the values of which are determined by SNiP 2.01.07-85.

Protective coatings

All structural elements are coated with a protective and decorative coating to protect them from atmospheric influences. To do this, they are subjected to anodic oxidation or coated with paints and varnishes of suitable composition. Only earbuds can be used without a protective layer.

The thickness of the coating directly affects the characteristics of the part, and its color directly affects the appearance of the structure. The thickness and characteristics of the anodic coating are determined by two standards: 9.031-74 and 9.301-86. Requirements for paint and varnish coating are established by GOST 9.032-74. In order for the coating to fulfill its functional purpose, it must belong to class III and have a thickness of at least 70 microns.

Painted profile

If this is a surface on the inside of a hollow profile part or not a front surface, then you can refuse to apply a decorative protective coating. These surfaces are not exposed to external influences, and therefore retain their original characteristics even without additional protection.

Low-density polyethylene is used to make gaskets. The type of material does not matter much. It is allowed to use rubber with increased hardness or wood that has been pre-treated with an antiseptic.

Application of protective coating

The choice of fastening elements should be taken responsibly. If they are made of ordinary steel, then contact with other parts should not be allowed if the thickness of the protective coating is less than 9 microns. Otherwise, the aluminum in the alloy will begin to corrode. This will certainly lead to a decrease in the strength characteristics of the installed structure. It is recommended to give preference to stainless steel fasteners.

Design features of aluminum entrance doors

Today it’s no secret that aluminum profiles for windows and doors are made from a special alloy consisting of aluminum, silicon and magnesium. This combination results in an incredibly durable, wear-resistant and at the same time light and beautiful design.

Profiles are presented in two main types:

  • Cold option, used in rooms that do not require heat conservation;
  • Thermal insulation profiles equipped with an additional thermal insert made of polyamide.

The design can be swinging, sliding, folding or radial.

In terms of its external characteristics, an aluminum profile is more suitable for decorating an entrance in a modern or minimalist style. But the possibilities that extend to customers with an individual order make it possible to adapt the design of the door block to any type of building and type of facade.

Box

The frame, which is the basis of the door block, is made of two parts, fastened with a thermal bridge. Its thickness is at least 70mm, and the number of air chambers is at least five. This design solution allows you to guarantee warmth in the most severe frosts and strong winds. The warm profile does not freeze even at critically low temperatures, which is important for the climatic conditions of many regions of our country.

Canvas

The door leaf leaves are made on the basis of an insulated frame and double sealing around the entire perimeter. Sandwich panels and cellular polycarbonate are attached inside. The thickness of the sash leaf is about 50mm, while the number of air chambers ranges from 3 or more.

Sealant

As a seal, the internal space around the perimeter is filled with polyurethane; in addition, polyamide inserts are laid around the perimeter of the box and along the contour of the canvas. A brush seal is installed at the bottom, which prevents cold and moisture from penetrating into the room.

Double-glazed window

For aluminum entrance doors, high-strength double-glazed windows are used: a triplex system or armored glass. The inserts are available in two versions: single-chamber - 24mm thick and double-chamber - 32mm thick.

Accessories

These are important components of an aluminum door block. The quality of the fittings determines the durability of the doors, their thermal insulation and protective properties. The group includes such elements as:

  • Loops - the minimum number on each side is at least two units. Installing more hinges increases the security capabilities of the doors;
  • Eyelet - this element is selected at the request of the customer, since it does not carry any load and is needed only for blocks with matte opaque inserts;
  • A lock is a mechanism that can be of any complexity. But, based on the relative lightness of the design, it is recommended to choose a locking device with bolts located around the entire perimeter.

Door types

Types of doors made of aluminum profiles can be generalized based on the type of opening. Thus, there are swing and pendulum systems, as well as sliding and sliding systems of mechanisms.

The swing system is a standard system made of canvas mounted on a box. The fastening mechanisms are represented by standard side-mounted hinges. It is possible to open such a door only in one direction, originally intended by the manufacturer. This design is one of the simplest and is used in residential buildings as an entrance or interior door mechanism, as well as in office premises.

The pendulum door system made of aluminum profile allows, due to the peculiarities of its design, to open and close the door leaf on both sides of the fastening system located on the ceiling and floor. Thus, the door mechanism is able to open both outside and inside the room. Almost every such system is equipped with a special closer device, thanks to which the canvas tends to return to its original position after moving in any direction.

A coupe-type sliding-sliding system facilitates the opening of the door leaf by moving it to the side. At the same time, the canvas itself moves when rinsing special roller mechanisms-carriages. The movement itself occurs along a strictly designated horizontal line, presented in the form of a guide rail element fixed in the ceiling area or the upper part of the wall and on the floor. Some systems use a non-threshold fastening of the web, in which it is held and moved only by the upper axis. Such a system has a number of advantages, one of which is significant space savings and ease of use.

Similar doors with a sliding-sliding system, made of aluminum profile, are often used when arranging the interior space of apartments or at the entrance to supermarkets, where, for increased ease of use, the systems are equipped with electronic motion sensors that open the door automatically.

In addition to the usual fabric used in sliding-sliding systems, a prefabricated door type is used. This mechanism allows you to minimize the cost of space, while at the same time using an original design from an aesthetic point of view.

Also widely used are doors made of aluminum profiles with a revolving door system. Their installation is justified in places with a large flow of people. The use of this type of structure allows you to protect the room from the penetration of drafts and litter.

Features of aluminum T-profile for facades

It happens that the profile is made of the same dimensions, but with a greater thickness of 60 * 80 * 2.1 mm. The increased thickness is justified when using heavy cladding; this does not apply to composites, which are lightweight. Therefore, as a rule, a profile with a thickness of 2.1 mm is used for heavy cladding - terracotta, natural stone. When the weight of the cladding exceeds 30 kg/m2.

Profile thickness of 2.2 mm and above is due to the use of AD-31 aluminum alloy. Alloy AD-31 has been approved for use in ventilation facades since 2014. It is cheaper than standard 6060 or 6063 alloy, but contains an increased amount of alloying elements. Alloying elements are metal impurities. Consequently, the AD-31 alloy is more susceptible to corrosion and turns yellow over time.

The 6063(6060) alloy profile and 1.8mm thickness is better or the same as the AD-31 alloy profile and 2.2mm thickness.

Why is this happening? The defining characteristic of a profile is its rigidity. Rigidity depends on the alloy, the degree of hardening, the branching of the section and its thickness, with each indicator influencing to varying degrees. In order not to bother studying all the nuances, just compare similar profiles from different manufacturers by the moment of inertia along the x-axis and along the y-axis. The higher these indicators, the greater the load the profile can withstand.
