If the axis jams or works unevenly, then asynchronous rotation of all lamellas is noticeable. Fourth step: Insert the ends of the lace between the rollers of the new mechanism.

Fifth step: Push both ropes into the grooves. In this case, it is important to ensure that the ropes are not intertwined in the curtain rod.

Sixth step: Connect the mechanisms back. Place the turning mechanism closer to the center of the cornice, with two antennae should rest against the back edge of the cornice. The lifting mechanism must be placed deep into the cornice so that the laces in the slots also “look” deep.

Seventh step: Place the connected mechanisms in the curtain rod.

Straighten the ends of the cornice to their original position. When performing this operation, make sure that the hole in the installed mechanism coincides with the shaft. Otherwise, the shaft may simply not pass through.

Eighth step: Put the side covers back.

This completes the cord replacement.

Thus, you can easily fix simple breakdowns of vertical and horizontal blinds with your own hands. It is extremely rare, but sometimes the horizontal bar, which serves as the base for the entire blind structure, breaks. It is impossible to properly repair this product - all the “patches” fail very quickly.

First of all, buy or order a new bar of the appropriate size from a specialized store. Next, you need to dismantle all structural elements from the broken crossbar. Remove ropes, slats, internal controls and other components.

Try the new bar in place of the old one. Make sure the dimensions are correct and begin reassembling the blinds.

For nylon fabrics, the soldering method is used. The ends are melted with matches or a lighter. The elements are then connected together so that the new cord can pass through the holes in the strips. If the connection breaks when pulling the element in question, then you will need to remove the top crossbar by threading the thread through special blocks.

If the product is pulled through, then the blinds are lowered down their entire length. Then the lock of the main mechanism is wedged (to release the cord). Remove the cap from the 1st end of the bottom bar. The corresponding crossbar is dismantled. The old and new products are pulled together through the last elements.

To strengthen the part in question, you will need to cut the connections by making a knot at the corresponding ends. The old cord is thrown away. The wedge (from the lifting thread) is dismantled. Blinds should hang straight. The looped end is passed through an equalizer. The removed elements are put back in place.
